Question Peoples Mazda Las Vegas/ good to buy from?

Hello looking to get a new rx8

Just wanted to know if anyone had dealt with Peoples Mazda for sales and service, good or bad? there seems to be only three mazda dealers here in LV and I think everyone here in town knows about the other "2".

thx
Zip

All 3 Mazda dealers are really the same company.

Just be aware of that!

Thanks for the replies its really appreciated, from what ive heard on and offline, some say good some bad , only thing to do is check em out firsthand I guess.

About all 3 being the same owners, others have told me that too, oh well if they act the same, its off to cali , only thing that sucks with that is, using a different dealer service dept not mention still have to wade through the bs dealers over there too.

Geez these factories should clean up the dealers, way too much are just plain outta hand.

MeZoomZoom about the M flash? do the rx8's that they have for sale already have em? im assuming newer models do have the latest update.

or did you just mean the service dept isn't setup yet to do the update for earlier models?

thanks again

I live in Henderson and ended up getting my 8 at the main Courtesy lot on Sahara. As for the dealerships, I think all three are owned by the same company, though site management is different. I almost bought an 8 last September at the Henderson lot, but the sales man and manager tried to pad the numbers by more than $5,000 between the end of formal negotiations and the finance office. I tried Peoples later in the fall, but they wouldn't confirm inventory over the phone (the stuff from the mazda web site) and insisted I come in to talk. Since Peoples is a drive for me, and they wouldn't discuss anything over the phone at the time, I just let that drop.

I thought about getting the car in Cali or Utah, however, the 8 is a unique car and I thought it might be better to get the car at the same dealership that will service the car. I could be wrong, but I think it helps.

As for pricing I did better than the Cosco number buy having them beat the deal my insurance company, USAA, quoted as a target price. Actually, it was using the Cosco service that got me off my dead a** and onto the lot. I ended up dealing with Harold Towne at the Sahara lot, he was much better to deal with than the Henderson crew last year (night and day difference). Of course he did his best to represent his employer's interest, but overall he was low/no pressure and was a good guy to work with.

Good luck. If you get one, I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine.
