I started to work on one for Cesar, but then was taken over by a severe migraine. Spent the rest of the evening hurling out my brains. I figured you already had one, but I could search through my pics and make something Rotorlution-ish. I already have some ideas floating around in my mind. Have a wedding to go to on Saturday, so don't know when I will get some computer time....but it is on my to-do list.

Did you put the PIE unit in. Snowfl8k got me one for my car, and it just snapped right into the rear of the radio. Does your "EX1" flash while your playing your MP3 player? Mine does.

It is called a PIE input. It was about 70 bucks through RX8garage.net. It is usually used when adding an Alpine CD changer to a factory radio. It has a 2 row, 10 pin plug that plugs directly into the back of the RX8 radio. Then you purchase a plug that will connect with the PIE converter. I purchased the 3.5 auxillery plug, which is the same as a headphone jack. I ran this behind my dash, and then through my center console. I have the plug in my drink holder section of the center console. I plug my Ipod into this, turn it on, then turn the radio on, push the "CD" button. If you push it a second time, it will change from "CD" to "EX1". EX1 will flash on your radio display while the Ipod is playing. I usually turn the Ipod volume up all the way, and then adjust the sound up and down by the steering wheel controls.
I was thinking of swapping out my head unit for the one that's able to play mp3 units but I might go with the PIE adapter instead.
Finally put my 20G Rio Karma to good use...

Mine is VERY similar, except i push the "tape/MD" button. and I have a Dell 30gig MP3 player. not an I pod. (as if that matters) :D

MOST RX-8's do not have a tape player.... i mean come on, who is going to pay more for a tape player!!!!?????
Mini disk was also an option that MOST people did not go with. your avarage upgrade was the in dash 6 disk if you went with an upgrade.
so now my Tape/md is and MP3! :D
I have a 30 gig Mp3, and that is just insane. now that I have it, I see that is way to much! I have 1,000 songs, and I have hardly put a dent into what it will hold. (4 out of 30 gigs to be exact)

oh yea.....i spoke w/my manager earlier today, and so far it looks like i'll be able to go on the 3rd for this next meet 
. so excited!!!1111!!!!11 it'll be awesome going to a meet w/you guys .

SOLO2, or Auto Cross = an event at which you get t o take your car and run it in a controlled enviroment. in other words SOLO2 host an event at which they set up a bunch of cones in a parking lot. you get to push your car to the limit witout fear of hitting a tree, deer, hipo, or another car. if you spin..... you hit a cone.
if you do it once, you WILL be hooked. it is a lot of fun. go to SOLO2.com for more details.

Dec 10th... uausally like $60 for an all day event. by the tim eyou are done, you will have around 12 -15 runs. this is a practice day, thats why so many runs. on a "race" day you only get 3.

Its at the California Speedway in Fontana. We were looking at December 10th right Casey? It is not open for registration yet but we wanted to get a list of names to register when it opens because it definately fills up fast........you going?
