I'll have to say that it the hardest I've driven my 8 since I got it...it was a total blast. I anticipate getting my exhaust, intake and fender strakes by the next meet. Hopefully, I can sell my other quad and trailor so I can get the MS front, sideskirts, wing and springs....I'll cross my fingers. Or, I could get off my lazy a#@ and file my taxes....

I am definately coming to the next run. I'll have to make it for breakfast as well....see you guys next time. Thanks again for your invites, and making me feel welcome.

I agree that we should probably plan to do something afterwards...regarding lunch.

i know its a little early, but as for the next meet:

Date: April 9th 2005
Time: arive 9:00 A.M. leave 10:00 A.M. to go on drive.
Location: Pirate City Tattoo Parking Lot (as always)
Drive: we will figure that out at the time.
After Drive: go to super market of some kind to get food.
Lunch: head to local park to have rotary BBQ. :D

Should be done with everything aroud 2:00 or 3:00

We Just got a fully load Shinka RX-8 today, Might be able to grab one from that. My problem now is that all our 8's with Nav are gone, and I dunno when we get more in. When we do feel free to PM me.

On another note, me and John went go karting last night, and thought it would be a good idea for one of our meets, but since BBQ is next meet, I was thinkin any of us with the free time could go. It's great fun, we usually hit up Adam's once every couple weeks. So if anyone's interested in some kart racin, PM me on here or messengers and we'll get something worked out.

Actually, there were 2 videos.
One was the drive-by you recorded.
The other was the video of the entire course.
I think if we get the video of the entire course posted, there will be so many new people at the next meet, we won't fit in that parking lot.
This would be great for getting more people out.
Let's face it...
Most of the areas in So Cal don't have the same opportunity we have, to do drives like we did on Saturday. Especially rollin 12 cars deep, driving 90mph in the canyons and not being hassled by The Man!!!
I'm trying to find a good deal on a tripod I can mount in my car to record next month.

BTW - I can host either of these videos if you guys need.

I think you could pull some people from the Orange County group if you posted a link to the video on their forum. I visit both groups and chat on both posts. They would like to see some of us show up to their Thursday meet. This Thursday in Buena Park 9:00pm. They usually go on a drive as well...don't know where though as a cruise at night is not as ideal for me. But showing them the video of "our" course may intice them out one month...

 

Vipers and myself plan on attending an OC meet or two. show some rotary love!

I just got a new kick *** digital camera, and a new video camera, so for the next meet there will be one more "set of eyes"

 

If we can figure out who has the video's then they can be hosted after editing, only problem is I don't know where they are lol.

On another note, anyone thinkin about buying the Shinka RX-8...Think twice...I took one for a little cruise tonight and well.....there's nothing special about it. Just a color change and a different color leather, no huge performace difference that I could tell, except the cluth stall point being a little higher.
