keith.... that really sucks about whats going on.... but DONT spend that money to get it rebuilt.... and if you do decide to rebuild it..the last place you want to go is the dealer.... go to a transmission shop... they wont rape you like mazda will! and id really suggest getting a used tranny for far less! ill try to hunt one down for you just to give you some options.... plus that 2400 could be a good down payment on a evo

 

Jedi has shown some interest as well...I'm wondering who may also show some love. If everyone just posted 10 or so posts, it may be enough to get us close.

 

if we got close, it may prompt other people...get them excited about getting close to 10,000.

 

it would be so great to be able to beat the buzzer, beat the shot clock, throw that last second hail mary, drain a long Eagle putt on the 18th, beat Casey like everytime in his own car (had to sneak that one in there), make a right turn on the final lap at the Daytona 500, get 25 consecutives kills on Call of Duty 2, getting a darn achievement on Geometry wars....man, I sure have a lot of these things.

 

Oh, beleive me...this is not something I want to spend money on, but it something that needed to be resolved in one way or another. I want to keep the 8, and was getting frustrated about the damage and gear grindage. I still feel that my clutch has never opporated correctly since i had the car...and that this was the reason for the early failure of my stock clutch, and eventual damage that I saw yesterday upon inspecting the torn apart transmission.

I just am worried that one person is now in charge of making the decision on my charges/coverage, and that they won't have the decency to speak with me before making their decision.

my check engine light finally came on!

 

i was wondering when the damn thing was gonna come on!

 

im guessing its the test-pipe i installed... that tends to trip the check engine light on evos from what im gathering

I could contact Rotary reliability and Racing (aka Fast Freddy's Mazda) which is a Rotary ONLY shop here in OC. they've probably done a tron of tranny rebuilds

you could try Mazdatrix in Long Beach.
