Man.. you guys are starting to scare me about GMR... even though ive been there sooooo many times. then again, ive known more people to crash there then any where else. bikes and cars alike. ive known a few people that died there and ive seen people get killed there first hand (i didnt know them though).

now that i think about it, that is probrably the road where your precentage of running into soneone headon is the highest in southern cali.

ill lead since i have a freaking loud exhaust. maybe they'll hear me

actually, when keith says he doesn't want to be in front, that's when i start worrying- just a bit... i know denholm will scare off all the deers and bears with his exhaust in the front. but, w/ our luck it'll be some deaf, one-eye'd cyclist w/ a blown-out tire pushing his bike around a blind turn that we need to worry about... <lol>

ok, maybe i watch too much south park- hahahaha. but, we want to be safe.

so, anyways. is it better for the west-siders to meet at Beryl or at Pirates, and if it's Beryl can we get directions please?

Beryl Park is to the north of the 210 freeway, off at Carnelian...so for those coming 210 Eastbound, exit Carnelian and then turn left. Park will be on the right hand side just past the overpass.

For those coming 15 north to the 210 west, exit Carnelian and turn right. Park will be the first driveway on your right.

Lets meet there by 10:00/10:15.

There is a place accross the street from sophek's work called "Legends Burgers" they have a mean pancake stack. very large portions at a fair price.

its west of sopheks work next to Mcdonalds.

maybe ill come down to beryl parkif i'm in town!

way to bring the crowd out to us ghost!!

I invited Fanman. hope he comes.

Edit: Oh ja, I think Jedi is scared of the dark force of GMR.

He'll never show!

the great jedi master will do anything once.. hey where'd he go. hey jorge your going in the wrong direction .. well i have to admit, this is one sat. i'm glad i have to work. i'm just not a fan of high places. . glen you would have been second from the back if i were able to go.
and like a good trooper i would have been there, fear and all. on a plus side, my job finally told me to bring in the guy i interviewed to be my asst. so in afew months i'll be making the drive back down to san berdo..

ok..... heres where i see a problem........

when the meets were created by myself and casey, we tried to make one thing clear... have a meet that didnt change locations, was the same time every month, and was fun.... and for the most part, its been pretty good.... we, on a few occasions have changed it up... BUT, i dont agree w/ how this meet has been handled..... the plan is always to meet at pirate city, hang out for a while, then as a group decide where to go on the run.... we try to keep it local for the people that cant go too far out of their way (i.e fc rx7 owners... they arent the most reliable cars)... i dont agree w/ the gmr decision because it leaves not just me, but a few other people out in the dirt! you all need to start thinking about the whole group before making group decisions...i think gmr would be a blast to do, but i dont think we should use it as our "cruise", its too far away for some of us.. and will take too long.... i wont be going to this meet at all... theres no point... half the group will not be there... bummer, cause i was lookin forward to it...later

Not to sound disrespectful, cuz we all do appreciate the fact that you have gone through the effort of organizing this monthly get together.

but . . . ..

Too far? I know of at least 2 of us that will travel for over an hour JUST TO GET THERE, then we are going for the cruise. And the point is being with other RX owners, be it at the beginning of the day . . . . or the end of the run.

Last time it took me 1 hour and 45 min to get to the meet...but whatever I don't care where we meet, I just want to drive together with a bunch of rotor heads.

I was looking foward to seeing your 7 vipers since I left before they unveiled it at ss9.

firstly, im sorry for causing this meet to be of such inconvenience to you as well as the other san bernardino people.

now that that is out of the way, i just gotta say, logically i dont see the difference for you guys to meet at pirate. then head 30 min east for a cruise vs heading 30 min west for a cruise. this is about the same distance as the 138 to arrowhead to crestline run. 30 min north east south or west... i dont get it. by the sounds of it, crestline would be the only run we would do because its so close. if we rancho or farther people think the same way, we wouldnt go to the san bernardino meet because mt baldy, GMR and the 138 is pretty much our back yard.

but, we rancho people head out there with regularity. thats 30 min of drive and gas every month to hang out with you guys cuase we enjoy your company. you , keith and casey are some of the coolest rotary heads ive ever met.

this is probably the only time that we will run GMR due to the 15 freeway. after that, if we wanna run it, i guess we will have make a GMR meet or something... but that sucks...
