I think I would rather have the race motor 20B over the Twin Turbo, tune or try to tune it like Amemiya's newest FD

 

if you could only do one of the following, what would you guys prefer for a major HP upgrade?

1. 3 rotor Renesis

2. 2 rotor turbo Renesis

3. 2 rotor supercharged Renesis

they dont make a 3 rotor renesis.... but yes i would take the 20B over a 13B Renesis (turbo or supercharged)

yes, by F/I i mean Force Induction.... but i'm not saying that FI is bad, because you still get ridiculous power, i'm just saying i'd rather have an all engine car over one that needs help to get it's power. but everyone to their own right?

Turbo is way to fun and it makes good power, I think the rx-8 being N/A is underpowered because it's big car to compaired to it's big brother or cousin or whatever.
But to anwser the question about what engine for big power I would go with the REW from the FD bring that sucka up to 570hp

actually..the best motor for upgrading is the RE series.... it takes the best parts from the REW and the 13b-t and combines them to create a stout motor.... the REW is actually a very unreliable motor..... alot of fd owners swap in RE motors... the ports in a RE are even bigger than REW's

 

yeah... REW's are prown to let go with boost. not saying they cant do it, just saying they are not the BEST platform to start with for building an insane engine.

 

yeah I know the ports are massive but why is it less power stock than the REW? I didn't know that they breakdown

 

Yep that's right open track, not the little stuff. One lap only around cones in a parking lot, fun but not the real thing.

Sure is fun at 124 around a corner.
