Costco pretty much lets you return ANYTHING.
I've got a buddy that does that with his computer just about every year.
Just tell them that something is wrong with it and you're good to go with a new one...

umm, i hate to be the one to point this out... but, isn't what they are doing dishonest? c'mon- "working the system?" that's a bunch of crap. if u buy something with the intention of owning it, then u've bought it- unless there really is something wrong with it justifying a return.
as consumers we always bitch and complain about dishonest retailers, frivilous lawsuits, and ambulance chasing lawyers. but, it sounds to me like your friends are simply a part of the problem. if they were my friends, i'd at least mention something to them about this and set them straight. and, if they still want to rip of the retailer, at least tell them to do it to a bad retailer and not costco. costco is one of the few retailers left that actually (1) takes care of its employees (2) cares about quality/ service (3) prices products at fair market value if not below and (4) contributes to their surrounding communities. if anything, they are the last on the list that deserves to get ripped off by your <cough> so-called friends...
nothing personal- just my $.02... peace out.

true but the creator of that one put Rancho in the title. but i know what you mean. that is pretty funny.
Costco is great... I bought a laptop there and after a while the battery was not holding a charge. I looked at my paperwork and found that I was 3 days before the 6 month cutoff they have on laptop returns. Took it in said the battery only lasted about an hour, they gave me a full refund. Then I went and picked out a better one that was less money.
I also bought and returned a number of digital camera before I found one I liked. One I got from costco.com and was still able to return it at the store.
I will always go to costco for electronics just because of the great return policy.

yah, but the real question is, why would you post all those pics? I think we did the right thing in reaction to Ricchio....not really realizing until now though.
Speed, nope, nothing in either of the calendar threads.
"Friends"-I would highly suggest not ripping Costco off. Membership dues could be one thing affected by your "return policy". I know I used to do the same thing with Toys R Us (when I was a kid) with video games. PLay the whole damn thing, and return it saying it was broken. Got a new game, finished it, and returned it to a different Toys R US. But then again, I was a kid.

wow! this is why I try to stress that the runs we go on for our meets are just for fun. try not to get to insane as we do not want anyone to loose there sweet car. it's not a race up the mountain, it's a fun spireted drive with a train of similar cars.
I find it fun to watch peoples reaction to a train of 15 sports cars!

dang... if u look at the crash tho- it really looks like he was just not paying attention. how the heck do u end up- on an open road mind u- into a guard rail? he must've been going too fast while in formation, couldn't stop in time without hitting the car in front, and so he broke too hard and hit the rail instead.
detrich, i used to look at it the same way, but it is costco's policy. they sign agreements with the vendors to grant costco such a return policy. not any product will be found in a costco store. the vendors have to sign this agreement, and then their product will be sold in costco stores.
it may be dishonest... but hey, if they didnt want us doing such, they should change their policy.
this is why you pay $40 a year for 'costco membership'.
think about it, if it wouldnt benefit costco, why would they do it?
my $.98 back
edit: costco is not getting ripped off.

Damn Verizon!!
I recently got a new cell phone so I bought a 1gb mimi sd to hold mp3's, pics, etc. The ideas was to transfer mp3's from my desktop to my phone and use them for ringtones. (including the Mazda "Zoom Zoom" song
I couldn't figure out how to do it on my phone so I went to LG's website and discovered this:

Question: Can mp3 files saved to a miniSD card assigned as a ringtone?
Answer:
No. Only ringtones downloaded via "Get It Now" can be assigned as ringtone.

If we posted pictures of Ricchio's incident, I'm sure there would have been people speculating that she, or the group, was going too fast, or that we were on a road that we didn't know much about. In actuality, it is a road we frequent, we know every one of those curves...but you can never predict road conditions, or what other drivers on that road may do. In this case, it was road conditions, dirt. Can't predict that.
Anyways....lets just be safe. In Malibu, Big Bear, or where ever.
sorry to hear that. i'm on verizon too. do they offer the Zoom Zoom ring tone? i think verizon makes us pay for ring tones via "Get It Now." (they really ought to call it- "We Got Ur $ Now."
bad verizon :P

Tell me what phone you have, if I can't figure out how to put your own ringtones on it, I'll buy you a beer.
Note: That "buy you a beer" was directed to Jedi, since I know I can do it on his phone.
Also, I have the ZoomZoom ringtone, and I got it from the really song, not from Verizon.
By the way, it's better to have the ringtones in the phones memory in the correct folder, otherwise, I may take a couple rings before the file starts to play. You may miss phone calls because of it.

)I'm refering to the version from the commercial. Mine starts w/ the kid whispering "ZoomZoom". I have the real version too, but it's slower than the commercial version.

Then you need to have a way to connect the phone to the pc.
There are 2 options.
1 - If you have a bluetooth adapter for your computer, you can use that.
2 - A USB Data cable, easily available through Ebay.
I put custom ringers on a co-workers phone (LG9800), using bluetooth. It never even left her desk 15ft away.
@Detrich - I'll look into the info for your phone.
