MazFest-2006 - Buttonwillow Track Festival
[sigh] I'd love to go and see how the turbo handles on the track but my last class is on that weekend.

Mazfest (mini) Caravan fom OC Saturday Afternoon
If we're lucky the rain will keep the dust and heat down. Conditions were perfect, last year! All runoffs were muddy, tho, due to rain from the previous day.
Anyway, PM your cellphone # here or reply on RX7club, if you can be in OC around 3:30 or the 405/10 around 4:30 -> http://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php?...&postcount=182 I have a laptop with wireless IP, so will be checking in here on the way up, for any last minute planners and to post our ETAs.
5/19/06 18:40 (6:40PM)
1 RX-8 leaving OC (after running at Dromo1) around 3PM picking up an FD in LA around 4PM on way to BW. Will try for dinner at Willow Ranch. PM w/ cellphone if you want a call an hour before we reach your location. Then another call 15 min before we join up on the freeway. The cars ahead will drop down to the #3 lane until cars behind catch up, then #1 lane, etc., 'till there.
5/20/06 07:21
+1 coming up from SD. Now leaving OC Dromo1 around 3:30.
5/20/06 18:00 (6PM)
Picked up Mel RacerX7fb in OC & stopped at MA Auto in Westminster to check out Interceptor-X tuning. Saw 3 really nice turbo RX-8s & 2 NA (1 auto). No sign of the mysterious yellow RX-8 w/ funny sounds from the hood area. Greetings! from Scott, to all Mazfest runners! All owners expressed satisfaction with first round of tuning. 3 RX's now leaving West LA 405 NB.

LOL, yes big heart, half Mazda, half rotary...we had a great time. That sure was along drive from Phoenix though...we came out Saturday afternoon and left Sunday after the show ended. It was great to meet a lot of you and a thank you to Bernie (keep up the hard work) Intl All Stars (Cliff, Bill, Susanna- great to see you all again), Mazda and Buttonwillow racetrack (great track BTW).
Mac, out
Thank you Bern for the picture and video.
I was missed out after the first run on Satursday due to ignition coil failure. Despite all that, I have a great time the entire Sunday.
Thank to all of you that I have a chance to speak to and try to help,
Can't wait until next year

Sorry I didn't catch everyone name
, but I do recognize everyone in person.I ended up asking my little brother driving all the way up on Sat. night from LA and give him the blast of his life as my passenger on Sunday on the track and scared him in one of the corner due to wet condition on the track that caught me as a surprise trying to plow thru the straight away after the exist corner.

Wish I had come - it was raining cats and dogs here! Did you guys get a little water out there at Buttonwillow? Anybody know any RX-8s from around the central coast ( Pismo, SLO, Paso, Monterey?). This week they had the 25th annual 3 day "Cruise" here in Paso Robles - anything that you have that interesting or modified parks in the park, drives up and down the main street and the town shuts down to welcome all the car people - Maybe you might consider it next Memorial Day -
