It’s back!!!! MazFest-2006: Buttonwillow Track Festival


To all my Mazda friends: We’re at it again. I've joined up with a few of my good Mazda enthusiast friends to bring you all another ALL MAZDA TRACK Day on the weekend of May 20-21, at Buttonwillow Raceway. This year's event is going to include more track time though; for all you track junkies! On Saturday May 20th, it will be strictly a track day, but Sunday, May 21 (main event day) will include all of the following:

-Car Show
-Dyno
-Track Time
-Race Demos
-Track Rides
-etc... etc...



Track spots are limited, so sign up ASAP... this is first-come-(PAY)-first-serve!!! Don't be left out; like many Mazda people were at last year’s MazFest. There will be track time for everybody, from beginners to full-on racers. Race car participants interested in joining the race group, please e-mail or PM me ASAP for details.

The track event is now more than half-way sold out, and still ONLY 2 RX-8s. I thought for sure we'd have a bunch of 8 owners jumping on this. I'm sure there are a few more coming out to run, right?!?!?

I don't see ONE non-Mazda on Sunday, which is MazFest' main day! Saturday is open to all Mazdas and friends. SUNDAY is the main festival day, with Saturday being an OPEN TRACK DAY only.

You made it seem that the weekend was Mazfest....but you were right. Sunday...all MAZDawgs.

 

Yea, Saturday was set-up so we could share it with friends and family who don't drive Mazdas. Still not too bad so far... the above list is still close to 60% Mazda!! We'd like for even greater Mazdas on Saturday, but it is open to all. SUNDAY though is the day for all MAZDAWGS!!

 

I'd love to do the track day, but I will be busy until that Sunday. I'm going to come there on my way back from LA.

Only about 20 track spots left for Sunday! Saturday is pretty much sold out, but you still have a chance to get in on Sunday, the main Mazda day!! Don't miss out... don't say I didn't warn you!

I'd love to come...but it's 1200 miles straight down I-5

 

Nice to have more 8's, but I thought the max capacity is 80 cars?
just worried the track would get a bit crowded. :P

 

It is... there are only 73 cars signed up for Sunday. The Saturday list shows over-booked, but there are several folks who have come off the list, but are still showing. So there are still a few more spots for 8s! Are you in Bong?!?!?
