that is one of reasons i am usually in the back. oh plus my fear of hieghts. oh and the fear of crashing, and the fear of hurting myself. and the fear that i might do something that i really fear. but it's still fun...

It's gonna be a smallish meet this time...which is good for all those who want to take it easy this time around. I will be there around 10:00 at the Mobil. Looks like Toca will be coming with me...so we should have five total...or more, if there are a couple that show that haven't posted.

 

damn, I just got a call that is going to change my plans for Saturday. I won't be able to show, and I don't know if anyone is going that would feel comfortable leading the bunch. I'll have to catch up with you guys in February.

Hmm... If Keith & Jedi can't make it, then only 3 of us (Rick, Konig, me) won't be much of a meet... <LOL> I've only been to Malibu cruise once, so I don't know the back roads well enough. Konig is new... So, that means Rick would have to lead. =)

I have to wake up early tomorrow morning to do a quick system check for work before heading out. So, I'll sign back on here and check who's confirming. If it's just Rick, Konig, and me, then... Hmm. do we still actually want to go- or what should we do? I'd hate to run into another car club (like the Lotus or Lambo's) and be totally out-numbered. But, what the heck.

re: weekend meets. since no malibu, i think ill go check out the San Gabriel Valley meet- in the Arcadia mall @ Dave & Busters at 12pm today. anyone else here going to that one? Let me know

Yes I went once before, about 10 people showed up. That meet was particularly unorganized because we got seperated on our way to some lake in Malibu. I ended up somewhere up in Malibu with a guy that had a nicely modified 350. We just headed back to the PCH through Decker Canyon Rd. and called it a day. The meet basically got split up into three groups.

However I think the fact that we got split up in the canyons was a fluke and I doubt that it will happen again. We met up near the Ralphs parking lot in Malibu, then we went to eat at Malibu Fish and Seafood (similar to Neptunes, not sure of the exact name). After that it was canyon time. Overall I had a great time, it was fun.

sorry guys... went back to sleep after setting my alarm for 11:00am and then woke up at 1245pm.. :P dunno how i slept thru the alarm. but, figured it'd b 2 late for me 2 get my butt over to d&B's by then...

now that i think about it, dave and busters in arcadia is a really dumb place for a meet. it's inside the new section of the mall, and parking is kinda of a mess there. u would think they'd have it somewhere at least where club members can park together as a group- so we can take pictures and look at cars etc.

oh well... like i said. i hope malibu cruise doesn't fizzle out.

Now we've got a month to get schedules arranged, plan a date, and get out there and tear those mountains up.

 

I am going in Feburary, that is the plan at least.

 

does malibu conflict w/ san bern cruise? i thought they were around the same time- no?

 

San Bernardino cruise is always the second Saturday of the month...so as long as we plan it away from that date...Lesper4, Snowfl8k, Toca and I should be able to attend.
