Malibu Drive/Cruz
Damn guys, I completely forgot the meet was today.
How was the turnout?
X-ped will you be gracing us with another one of your famous videos?
Count me in for next month's meet. I don't care when the date is, I'll make sure to be there.

seems like everyone forgot the meet was today. Only Xped, Snowfl8k, 8inch and myself. Small little group.
No video...xped didn't have it today.
It would have been nice to snap some pictures of the Lambos...I seriously think there was 11 or 12 of them. When we passed them the first time, they were all parked in one line on the side of the road, going the opposite way, all with their doors up. The drivers were all across the street taking pics.
We passed em again on PCH, again, they were going the other way. Just awsome.
Passed a small group of 3 Lotus, they were parked at the Rock store when we passed. We tend to see these guys a lot, at least on times I make it to Malibu.
But the best part of the day was when I overtook the Ferrari, on the straights. Such an awsome car...but I do think he was babying a lot....or he just got it. He was pissed though. When we got to a stop sign he pulled over to make a right, but saw that we were going straight. Either he was lost, or he wanted revenge, so he doubled back on us and I let him pass while waiting for everyone to get through the stop sign. He had about a 15 second start....going towards that section where there are the 15 mph sharp corners on the way downhill towards the Rock store. I caught up to him by the third corner. He couldn't shake me...it was so fun going through the twisties riding a Ferrari's butt the whole way. I seriously had a couple of turns I could have taken him on, but I didn't know how he would react and wouldn't have wanted anything bad to happen.
Then there was the part where he bottomed out and tore a big chunk of his rear unuderspoiler off. I should have caught it, it probably was worth something on Ebay...but I was more concerned with it hitting me....
Fun, fun, fun. I was so pumped from that experience...just an awsome end to a good day. Then the boring 70 mile drive home.....

WOW! Looks like i missed out! I am so sorry guys, but I was waaaaay too hungover and I figured it would be wet. Those two elements usually lead to bad news
I hope u guys had fun though and I will make sure to be there next time. Maybe I will tag along in my '57. :P

that is pretty freakin cool Kwescott! one of these days i am accually going to go to one of these meets with you. I know i keep saying that, but i will. maybe when i give up on the race car. :D
Waaah, I forgot about the meet also! Will try to make it next month.
Speaking of Lambs... I was sitting in my 323i in the parking lot of my building talking on the cell phone, when I heard and felt what seemed like a mini earthquake. I started looking around and didn't see anything wrong. Then, about 30 seconds later, a shiny brand-new black Lamb passes by me directly. (I couldn't see it 'cuz it's SO LOW.)
Damn that car is FREAKING LOUD! Very, very cool though...
D =)

Damn, I forgot about this weekend.
Would have liked to see those Lambos run.
BTW, a couple of you were wanting to get shifters from me, a heads up, there are are only two left until the end of next month.
Do you guys think there is a problem with the dip stick?
Another thread there are complaints.
I could make an extention if there were a demand.
The trouble is I have to find a good way to make a flexable stick that fits to a nice handle.
I'm going to be making a cast aluminum pan option for the supercharger.
This will be a good item for you canyon guys as it will have an extra Qt of oil and trap doors inside to keep the oil around the pickup in high G turns. I'm also going to fin the bottom for extra cooling. Planed price is around 350 bucks. :D

I'd be interesting in reading the thread that you are talking about with the dipstick complaints...or is it just a bunch of dipsticks complaining
....either way, could be fun reading. Could you post the link for those in this group that are lazy.
I find no problems with the dipstick. I rarely (I think only once) have ever pulled the thing out. I just add oil when my "add oil" light flashes

nice ferrari story too, would have loved to see that guys reaction when he heard part of his rear bumper being ripped off haha ouch!

You guys want to set the next date, maybe November 6? Looks like the little lambo/ferrari incident sparked some new people to show up to the next meet. Hope we get a big turn out.
