I'm thinking of installing some type of data logging unit. I'll probably go for somethign that I could display on a palm or Treo.

I want to test a new mod I'm thinking of getting...

make sure your laptop has a serial port or else you will be stuck with using a usb to serial adapter which is a little difficult to configure. Me and FE3P did it with his new laptop using the serial adapter and it took a little configuring of the comports but we got it to work.

he's had it for a few years, its really cool. you can drive around and see all the gauges in real time. And the gauges look like the factory rx8 gauges.

well I took my 8 in for motor mounts today, so hopefully I'll get it back later this afternoon without the dealership b*tching at me over a theory of grounding wires = motor mount goes bad.

Close, very close. The shaking feeling the Turbx XaSS makes is actually not because it disturbs the motor mounts. It's actually because it's melted off half your bumper, the bumper is now dragging on the pavement, you've just LOST 50rwhp, AND the vibration was caused by a Chrysler Crossfire BLOWING past you and causing your car to shake.

that makes more sense now! Originally I was asking about the canscan.

I always get those damn things mixed up... Think I'm going with the scanalyzer.

its tight, it even shows you your engines status, if your ecu is throwing you a code, it also shows the last time a mazda technician looked at it.. (i think).

Both the canscan and scanalyzer will do all the sane functions.

AFR
CEL Codes
MPG
Intake temp
Timing

and about 100 other things. Pretty cool stuff.

Canscan makes a usb version now.

Jedi, every person who is having tranny problems with royal purple is using their 75w-90 diff oil in their tranny. Royal Purple makes special tranny oil called syncromesh that is made for manual transmissions.

I think that's your problem.
