So I just got the bad news...

I've been having issues starting lately, it all started with a heater core leak, (so I looped it)...then Engine gets flooded, I killed my starter while cranking up. So I buy a new starter. And Autozone hooked it up with a brand new battery. New starter, New battery, New plugs, New wires, New coils. Engine Starts (I was happy). Take the car for a long drive, it feels better than ever before... Temp starts going up, popped the hood and coolant is boiling. First though it was just air in the cooling system, maybe some bubbles, no big deal (so I though)....

after a couple of days the issue persists. I got a hookup at Courtesy Mazda for a compression test, and a check up with the cooling system. Mazda says I need a new Engine...rear rotor has lost about 40% compression. Mazda Quoted $4,700. for a Reman Engine, labor included.

Welcome to the joys of Rotary ownership.............Too bad you already went to Courtesy Mazda they are the worst and the most expensive. I am not even sure they are correct with the compression test you should back it up with your own test.

^^ Agreed, check with Centennial if you can. Courtesy is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with in my lifetime.

I used to go to Centennial for warranty issues, and they are good with customer service. I bought my Mazda 6 at Courtesy at Henderson, but i never went back for warranty issues, i just bring it in Centennial, cause its closer to me...lol

I might have a agency power midpipe and a HKS hi-power exhaust up for sale soon, anyone interested? The midpipe has about 25k miles on it and the HKS has somewhere around 5 or 6k miles on it.

thanks, but what was once great and fun to drive now is so impractical. All my equipment everywhere, bad gas mileage etc, so it was time to say adios.

Sorry to hear you are unhappy............This car is for peeps that like working on cars, have a second car to fall back on and enthusiasts. Some times I even get upset.

Hell I'm having to bring in a tuner to get the dam car running right again.

90% of my problems are caused by me. Too many mods most of which I don't know how to repair. I wanted a car on the edge and got it. If I had it to do over again, I'm not sure I would have done the same mods.
