I am wondering if switching the location to that front mount style may actually add life to the series 1 Renesis

 

Mazda changed the oil delivery system - I am trying to get a few drawings showing the difference. You have got me looking into this.....

My oil lines are the same size as the stock opening and the oil pressure is the same at the stock location and the area I moved it to. At the time of this move, Mazda was aware that several peeps were going to relocate the oil filter. They even offered two areas of relocation, neither of which I liked.

 

Ok I read thru ASH8 thread on the oil filter and it's relocation. I also traced down some drawings on the new oil system. I understand ASH8's concern with any distance changes. Before I would say "don't" I would want to see the flow and pressure changes.

 

Ash8 seems to be the authority on the series 2, I am sure he would be happy to help if you sent him a PM. He probably knows all of that stuff.

 

got my baby back on the road! got new coils from bhr and a racing beat mid pipe. Runs real nice. But im going to get the dual resonated one instead ha

its not that loud, just raspy like you say. Im getting the dual resonated one and getting a cat on it.

So many have left our ranks....can't seem to get a group together anymore.

Now watch me be wrong. Of the orginal group as far as I know only me is left.

Of the second group only you and I post so we must be it. Mike can't post anymore but I am not sure he still has an 8.

The third group is down to about three maybe four, most do not post any longer.

There are about 5 members currently but none seem to want to get together.

The 7s have a great group but unfortunatly they meet on Thursday and I can't make the meets.

My guess is that most have sold their cars and are proud owners of other brands.

 

Here! I'm a newer 8 owner, long time rotary owner....Currently waiting on MazdaManiac to ship out an AP so I can finish mine. Would be willing to host a cruise/BBQ sometime, If I ever get all the little kinks worked out. Now that the weather is getting nice, it's a good time to stir things up. Cheers ~Ted

Well there are a few open to a meet. An ex rotary owner is OK in my book. I'll keep my eyes open on this forum and look for an announcement.
