On the main page of this site, towards the bottom there is a section for good guy/bad guy topics. I would state you predicament siting FACTS only. Don't color it with speculation or opinion even though you may really want to.
Other members here may want to hear of your experience with a vendor and on this forum you certainly have the right to relay what had happened.

how are you guys doing.. long time i don't see anyone..
i have a invitation to do..
Chun or A.mair or phil, so me and a friend are shooting few things for our demo, and we have this project of a car commercial, would any of you guys be interested on having your car on it?
it will take place at a garage, the car won't need to move.. let me know if you guys are interested..
i won't use mine because i would have to be towing it.. =/

Just trying to help a friend out Ray. I didn't state anything of what had happened. Just merely said that he should perhaps relay his story onto the community, which should be fine. I said stay to the facts with no color or speculation.
Don't see why you're getting all touchy about it. He should be able to say what happened. Like you just did from your perspective.
Now on a more serious note, I think someone in a Norwegian forum said something bad about a BHR sticker... Sick em Ray!

well rx8 fam 2012 has started off with a great bang, and today was filled with great news. I just found out that i am a proud owner of a $4000 rx8 motor that was supposed to be brand new that blew the same day that i got the car back in my possession , i now have an awol on me because i couldn't make it to my monthly army training and so i got a call from the mps because the higher ups in my unit thought i was lying to them about the issues i'm having with my car, i got a ticket because the head light on my wifes car is out, and last but not least i was fired from the las vegas motor speedway because i didn't have a way to get to work all last month and some of this month due to the car issue and no there is no bus that goes to the speedway, the closest bus stop is about 5 miles away. So as you can see today has been the best day of my life.

Yea remans are **** I'm not surprised this happened at all.
Nobody knows me here so I'll be the neutral third party, it appears Ray went above and beyond the call. DGR just seems to have had a streak of bad luck stemming from a reman.
As always its good to have all the facts before we make a judgement call.

I'll second that. They are hit or miss at best and there have been plenty of DOA remans, and remans that only lasted a little while before failing. Sounds like this one was one of those. It funny that Cat was eliminated from the reman process due to poor remans coming out yet my Cat built reman lasted 75k and my VA reman only lasted 30k.

If there is anyway we can be of help just hollar wether it be a place to do or a engine hoist etc
Being in the bussiness I can understand and appreciate althou we do our best there are things out of our hands. Example for this week was sending in a steering gear in for R & R off of a 42 Dodge for it to get damaged in shipping and having to explain to the owner he may need to find another unit .and we would do what we could to help .... but needless to say he wasn't/isn't very happy

Thx, Ray. Erick and I were thinking of asking for your help vis-a-vis a flat, paved, spot and an engine hoist but we were scrambling to get all current BHR work orders finished last night as we are heading to Seattle for a week's worth of work. I am sure Erick will be contacting you soon. Thank you very much for the offer.
Not a problem, I am here for our local rotary community. I can park my cars in the rv parking while Brandons car is being taken care of ... we also have a trailer if the need arises
Brandon if your catching this and would like to drop it off prior we can lock her up behind the rv gate that way as soon as Ray and Erick hit town they can jump on it

what do i have to do with all this.. i'm not taking any sides or even talking about this situation, in fact i was going to talk to you guys to rebuild my engine soon as i get my drivers license back..
the only reason that i came in the blog is that me and my friend have this project.. it's is a non paid gig with no interest in making money.. i'm going for film school, and we want to create this "commercial". i can't use MY car because i blow up the engine and i won't town the car here and there for that

so i was waiting to get my car fixed, but i seems that i will have to fix it now.. i crashed the car that i was driving, and i think that is better fix the 8 than buy another old car

Sin City Rotary is having their Thursday night meet as usual. Go to that Forum and find out where.
Vegas 8s and Sin City Rotary are having a get-together to discuss the upcoming WHiV5 meet. If your interested in helping, putting in your two cents, bitching or just setting with us and have a drink, join us at Sammy's Woodfire Pizza at 6500 West Sahara Avenue, Las Vegas. Never been there before but it does have a lounge.
My 8 needs a tune real bad so I have not been driving it but I do plan on bringing it to the meet.
