HELP!

What the hell is wrong with my car. Driving home last night, going about 75, all of a sudden she wouldn't go into gear. I coasted for about a mile or so until finally I jammed the car into 4th. Once I got into fourth I couldn't get any other gear and had to jam it back in to fourth again. After about 2 miles of highway 4th gear, the other gears became available. I was able to easily shift to 4th, 5th and 6th.

So then I drove home mostly in 6th taking it easy thinking that little episode was over and when I went to get off the highway she wouldn't get out of 6th. Finally around 35mph she smoothly got out and I didn't have any issue with switching gears for the rest of the trip home which is about 7 miles... What the hell was that?!?

She has been driving a lot smoother since I put the new tranny in. The clutch is about a year old with I think like 5K on it and I haven't aggressively engine braked in over a year! WTF?!?

Sounds vaguely familiar........Did you tighten up those Power Frame bolts? I remember reading a thread that the poster had a similar problem due to misalignment of the Power Frame. Might ask Erick if that sounds familiar also.....

Everything under the car was tightened down well. When we do Felipe's car we can check again but as far as I know we were good with everything underneath. I just drove her to work and didn't have a single incident. It was pretty damn alarming last night though.

Hey Phil, can I borrow a jack, a couple of jack stands, your oil catch pan and a few tools? I think I know what is wrong with my car but I don't have any tools to work with.

Yes, come over tomorrow and pick up what you need. If I was not trying to get ready for 7stock I would have an open garage but........I'll try and be close to the house about 10am if that's OK with you.

MUCH BETTER!!!

That did the trick Phil. Turns out I only had a little more than a quart of gear oil left in the tranny so I actually lost A LOT. I just had to jack the tranny up itself so the bolts would line up, and then tighten away. No more leaks or shifting issues.

I don't want to get ahead of myself here BUT... for the moment my transmission is perfect. Tolls are coming back tonight

Not all of them. You need a decent mix of the undesirable to off set the crazy hot. Otherwise an 8 starts looking like a 2 and that just ain't right!

Oh hey Phil or E or CHR if you see this... Phil was telling me that there was a TSB about a heat shield that protected the center console and driver's seat? I am assuming that happened a while ago, am I still good to get that serviced even though Kasumi is an 04 with like 76K on her?

I believe, if I am reading the warranty correctly, that the TSBs are only applipical while the warranty is in effect. Your's is long gone.

^^ Makes sense... oh well... my cup holder is a cup warmer at the same time. My coffee will never go cold!

Oh Phil, BTW... my gauges came in. I'll need help installing them, I don't really know how to do so.
