Chun, read the post.....Sara asked for a special flake to be added to her paint. Your flake is OK, no problem.......Sara's flake is not known to the paint peeps.
That part of the post was addressing Sara. Don't get excited
That is an Rmagic front bumper not a Valeside. The one I wanted would have cost $6000.00 from Germany and the one from Canada would have cost $5000.00 because of customs and the fact that the maker has no business license. So I decided to try this one.

trust me it ain't easy, I knew I was going to purchase it as soon as I saw it and it was black, but it's the original Daytona Blue that was only available for the 79. If I am taking it to sevenstock I don't want it to fade away among other black first gens. I am invisioning it and it will look gorgeous (I hope lol) the paint was no way cheap. What I am stuck on is what color calipers? input anyone?
huh now thats why I asked cause I would have never thought black or silver for fear would help masked them even further, was actually thinking red with the car blue and do to the fact the rims won't show too much ... well the jurys is still I reckon lol
You're painting your car flat matte blue with bright chrome wheels. Bright red calipers would get too much attention and matte red calipers would look like ****. Don't do red. Black with silver lettering would accent the calipers nicely and still contrast to your wheels while not being too loud for the blue.
Not glossy, like your black now. Not saying that the blue you are going to is not a brilliant, but caliper paint red would be much brighter and saturated and draw too much attention away from the blue of your car. Calipers should be accents, not focal points.
The patch you show us in this post looks flat like a matte finish but having see the close up pic I know that it is a metal flake high gloss finnish (or looks like it to me). Red would not look good. Silver would be nice and so would black.
Ray, you gonna paint it yourself?

k thats what I thought you meant ... not sure on the gloss with the amount of clear I will be laying on it, well if it still fits what your invisioning, or perhaps it's just that it's the blue you see. It will have more clearcoats then my bike I painted roughly a year and a half ago (this is just fyi)

oh and yes I am painting it
What's up fellas? It's been a while that i posted something here. I have a question...who knows how to lower a car on a 04 Mazda 6i hatchback (front and back) and for a 05 Mazda RX8 (front only). I just want to cut the springs on both cars. I'm on a tight budget because of the economy. Can you guys help...THANKS !!!
I just got back from there......saw your car inside but did not get a chance to have a good look at it..........I'll see it soon enough.
If Sara is looking at this post, they are having a problem with the flake you want in the paint......If you have any idea where to get it let them know......

Thanks for checking on that for me Phil! I told them over a month ago I could get it and they insisted they would. I did one google search under "micro flake paint" just now and found it in less than 2 minutes... Should I be worried right now??? I'm not sure why they haven't called me to tell me this or emailed me.
If you want to let them know, I have posted the website below. I can leave them a message or something, but since they are closed on the weekends, I can't contact them until next Monday when I'm off.
I am looking at the micro prism (MP201, MP202, or MP203), the black (KUS HF41), or the silver/rainbow holographic (KUS HF35). I'm not sure of the size.. probably a medium flake, maybe a standard. Not sure yet which size flake or which color would look best. They have a sample sheet, but it's $11 and they'd have to ship it to me. I want it to sparkle and stand out, but I don't want it to look like I'm going to drive it into a lake and fish from it.

If you guys want to give me your opinion, that would be cool. And no Ray or Chun, I don't care if you think it is lame because I am a girl and I can have sparkles if I want to.
