There is a 6 port 8 engine available for a really good price. I understand it was running when removed from the wrecked 8. The tranny is spoken for but the engine is complete with the computer.

I considered it for a while thinking of a starting a project car but the chassis for the project car disappeared and the 6 port will not work in my car. I will put you with the owner if you are interested.

Hey guys, long time no talk. Everything was going great with my 8 until today. After a bit of aggressive driving i came to a stoplight in the middle of the afternoon, the car rough idled a little more than usual and then it died all of a sudden. I was able to get the car turned back on but now im noticing a bit of "grinding" when the car shifts to a higher gear. Anyone have any thoughts?

BTW my car is an 04 AT GT on its second engine replaced in 07

Took it for a test drive when the weather cooled down and it ran pretty normal. i hit a section of stop and go traffic and noticed that the car was having a harder time and idleing rougher. the noise upon gear switching pretty much disappeared but all i hear now is a weird noise when the car is in 2nd gear at around 4000 RPM. I know i need to get the coils, wired and plugs changed and people have said to do a tranny flush but i wanted to see if you guys had any input.

 

Sounds to me like your due for coils, and had better start using premix.

 

OK, I had to put a couple of peeps off due to the WHiV meet. Now that it's over I will have an open garage again on Saturday 10am until 2pm. Please post or text me before Saturday if your coming so that I will be prepared and don't plan over the top.....

Chun: If your ready to remove your front bumper we can start on the intake.

I have a new item from Pettit that is supposed to bump up the starter motor and god knows I need that. Looking for a volunteer to help install it (attaches to the starter under the car).

 

Hey Phil. I'll stop over to help out with your starter. I don't really want to start my intake yet, I wanna scan for cat failure. My seat is becoming unbearably hot.

Had a great group over for a Garage Meet. Got a bunch of struff done and a bunch of jobs started. Last I heard everything is good and the garage will be open again next Saturday from 10am until 2pm

 

got home and my car started makeing that sound again. i might see if i can get one of sincity guys to look at it if they have a chance. if not ill probably be by again saturday and if we have time look at it.

hey phil after i left your garage today the sound wasnt as loud, but it's still there. ill prob stop by next saturday to see if we can fix it. hopefully, chun and little phil will stop by as well to help out
