You have a short somewhere......does a CEL (check engine light) come on? Just off the top of my head I would say it's in the electronic power steering but with out a CEL would be hard to trace. Our power stearing is electric and has had problems with it's connections coming loose and ether disconnecting the power steering or causing a short.

no nothing comes on. when i start to turn it just dies immediatly. radio, lights, gages, power steering and engine. all at the same time. no check engine lights or anything. if its a slight turn and the steering wheel i able to get back straight it comes right back on like i just started the car, other wise the engine shuts off compleatly. but it only did it when i turned left that i remember and not right.
o if i take it to the dealership do i need to reinstall the snorkel or is it ok out

lol.
Because turning your steering wheel isn't an electrical load and the alternator doesn't do anything.

Come on Gil - stop giving people unfounded advice.

No ****. I'm just ******* around.
This happen to me in my at when I was driving in the rain. When I got hit on the passinger side and the sensor went out. It was just over one thousand for the dealer to replace. My insurance took care of it because the shop that repaired my car did not catch it, the dealer did.
So dont tell me what to do punk.

Yea come on by and we can do the test - hope you have someone that can get under the car....................I am too stiff to get in the wheel well real good. The canzoomer had no control over the compression, but that could have been the reason you were loosing power. I don't remember what your compression readings were but if I remember they were borderline.....The dealer considers borderline as good....such an ******* bunch. Gil got a new engine but went thru hell getting it.

Gil........................
I'll get the tracking number when the shipping guys get here this morining.

If I were you I would replace anything that has been changed under the hood if your trying to get it fixed under warranty.......The dealer (our local ones) will try and blame anything to avoid warranty. If some one else has any ideas about the cause then maybe we can look at it this weekend. I will be in the garage working on my car (yes I do some small work on my car).

Now everyone be good.......................

Vegas 8 Members.........I am pleased to announce a joint meet this month with Sin City Rotary on the third Friday of this month......... No place yet picked but I will be announcing it as soon as it's picked. Just want you to set aside the time to come..........

There are already many of you that belong to Sin City Rotary along with Vegas 8s so having a joint meet will be just like old home week. For those that do not know them, they are a mixed group of 7s and 8s who are a tight knit group of fun loving rotary enthusiasts.

If you have any questions please post them or PM me.......

That would be us , the pic in signiture was from our lastest cruise where Phil joined us. Phil mentioned getting both groups together and it sounded like a greet idea so we will come up with a place and I am sure Phil will keep ya's posted. A range of 15 to 20 SCR cars is not unheard off so this should be interesting

Note and this is just my opinion of course but there are two guys that if people visiting didn't know them would think ya'll are seriously going at eachother, I would think it's just goofing around else it would be being done in PM's. We are all rotary enthusiasts and have What Happens in Vegas coming so lets all lol

Thrasher, mothers condition seems to be getting better very slowly if you need a hand just let me know. Something is telling me connection at the started but heck I'm a 7 guy lol

So why did you suggest that it was his battery? Even if it is his battery, your experience would indicate otherwise, making your advice completely spurious.
That is just irresponsible.

They hold the computer and the ink pen............Let's check the compression again and then speculate...Keep this in mind, if you go in with anything else wrong they (the dealer) will blame it on the other thing even if it has nothing to do with it. It's a sad state of affairs but if you want warranty then your stuck with the bull.

You certainly will not tell him what to do, nor anyone else.. I've never had any problems with you personally Jeff, but lately I've gotten sick and tired of your immature, lame, personal attacks on our locals. Especially when you're posting in my thread, and I have to make the mods clean up the thread afterwards because of stupid posts. So, please stop posting in this thread, if you are gonna keep insulting locals and telling them their experience & advise is completely spurious.

Phil, I'm not an expert so I sent them off to Ray to ask what he thinks of the readings.

You know I was going to save all the thanks until after the meet, but just thought I would pass on a current thank you to all that are helping with this:

CHUNBELIEVEABLE: For the perfect art work for the flier and some give aways. I think his style has helped make this a "must come" affair.

JEDI54: For all his help working with the Cali Group and promoting the event in Cali and elsewhere.

VEGAS LOCALS: To all those that have picked their way thru the drama and helped in every way.

There will be lots of thanks after the event to peeps & organizations not yet mentioned or known.
