I'm reposting this cuz I just got done talking & posting with Ray. He may have a mod for everyone by the time he gets here. It's something that you all talk about but don't have. I'll let him do the honors on the announcement (cuz there are a few small issues to work out), my lips are sealed. He may even announce it before he gets here - timing is every thing.

Hey guys,
So i ran into a curb the other day and broke off the front air dam....grrrr

So I was thinking about just putting a mazdaspeed front bumper on instead of replacing the airdam.

Any suggestions on a good body shop to have the work done in Henderson?

What about the Mazda dealership on Gibson?

Im very new to the area and have no clue where to go to get GOOD work done for a good price.

I live on Eastern and Windmill, BTW
Love the weather here

I do all my own work or have friends help me so I'm a poor one to answer this post but the Mazda dealers in Las Vegas have trouble finding their way to work in the morning. I would not take anything there. Are you able to work with tools? Changing a front end is easy. Look in the DIY section and there are directions for removing and reinstalling the front end. If you do not have the bumper, it may be cheaper to order one on line and have it shipped in (they are very light). Our group is all gainfully employed but if you need a little help (very little from me) - tools or a place to work maybe I can help. Come to our meets and you might get offers of free help for other work you need done. If you interested in the BBQ meet give me or Dominion a PM for directions. If you wish to accept my offer, PM me and we will set something up.

Metro Auto Body, Ask for Tony and as soon as he see's your car he will know how you found him... He is by far one of the most honest and fair body guys in the valley. He also stands behind all his work. His number is (702) 792-6220. STAY AWAY FROM THE DEALERSHIPS IN VEGAS!!!!!!!!

and then my iron fist wife broke the centre thing with the cup holders yeah she shut it and then broke it, i felt like kicking her out the car, but i waited til we got home and beat her with the frying pan instead.

Me thinks it's a good thing your wife does not read these posts - that frying pan would be permanently embedded in your head Look in the TSB lists and if that mirror is part of the sun visor it should be replaced under warranty. The center console also has a couple of TSBs on it. If Mikes guy is cool he may get both of them replace under warranty - You are still under warranty are you not??

Did you not get the letter extending your warranty??? I thought all '04 - '06 8s got the letter extending the warranty to 50,000 miles. I got one but a lot of good it does me. Well maybe with Mikes friend, I could get the visor covered if I needed one. Have his friend run your vin in the computer - it may also have the extended warranty - it can't hurt to try (unless you have money to burn).

Thought that was only for the drivetrain/engine being extended to 50k.

hey guys, quick question for u....i recently ordered the hks racing suction intake from lazi. i was thinking that once it came in id fabricate a kind of vent that would direct cold air from the grill/front bumper in front of the radiator to the intake box.would this more or less give it a, "cold air" intake type upgrade.

the thought came to mind when i saw this DIY for cooling brake rotors with an air duct.

it would be similar to the ducts in the picture yet they would be placed within the front air dam. any idea if this type of thing would give the effect of me cutting a hole out of my bumper for air to flow, but without actually cutting the hole in my bumper?r?
