^Iam working foo. My next days off are Tue & Wed of next week. Friday I have to take my DMV driving tex at 8:30am but after I can come to the house and help you move.
But I want to meet the new peeps and fig everyones off weekends (but me) so we can have a AM meet. I have to be AT work AT 3pm!

Anyone here with the keyless entry system have the dealer turn the auto-lock feature on? Did they charge you?

Welcome! I have the keyless entry, but no I did not have them turn it on. You can call the dealership, tell them Phil sent you and they'll hook you up... but you gotta tell them Phil sent you!.

I hear you can get a veilside kit pretty cheap and you can put mabuhay stickers all over it.

 

Which dealer (when required) would you guys use for service? How long do you usually have to wait for an appointment?

 

The one in Henderson sucks! tryed to charge me $50.00+tax and fees for an oil change lol suck it!

I kinda got the same vibe. They owe me a full detail and the service manager couldn't spare a tech to test drive my 8 to narrow down where my bad seal on the driver's side is...

Admittedly, I did just drop in, but that was per the sales guy's instructions... Ho hum.

Still waiting for the part to replace the center speaker cover. Not so bad I guess. Only owned it a few days now.

 

yeah, my "detail" wasn't even a detail because my car never reached the front of the dealership and they wanted to give me the car the same day I signed for it, so they just wiped it down.. there's still crap on all the corners -_-

when I came back for my green slip, it took me 3 people just to find someone who would see if the second key of my car came in... and they were all just standing outside smoking, taking their sweet time... I mean my sales person has always been nice, but everyone else doesn't give a ****...

before I bought the car and was still trying to work things out, their "boss" (bald dude who says "know what i mean" a lot) called my cosigner ignorant out of frustration about not making an easy sale... actually it was "i'm not calling you this, but this this situation is just ignorant"... we left that day without making the deal... :/

They replaced one of my tail lights because it had that condensation problem~ I have water stains on the inside of it though

They treat you hella good. Well they did to me and my Girl. The sales guy let me and my friend Mike test drive the car up and down Centennial lol he was like hell no was I going to go on that test drive. The sales manager even showed up in his drop top orange Lambo Gallardo.
They offered us coffee and donuts. It was alright. They also gave us a history of the car and a carfax report and told us to look over all of it and let them know if we have any questions.

sorry i meant to say they resealed... when i got it back there was still the same condensation and they told me it would dry out, but it left water stains when it did...

i drove it on the highway... ever since I test drove two rsxs (2 diff dealerships), they were both good until i hit the highway over 60 when they started shaking like crazy~ something was misaligned in the first car and the second they didn't even know about it lol, so it made me paranoid when I tried the rx8

 

Since you guys are talking tech...sorry if i butt in...
There is nothing wrong with my car (besides it having a 4spd AT tranny LOL) I just have a couple quick questions... (this was not at MAZDA)

1. I went to replace my rear diff fluid, and they told me since its LSD there is some special additive besides the rear diff fluid you have to add for the "clutch thingy inside the lsd"? Is this right? I have 60k miles.

2. Since I have bought my RX8 i have replaced my oil and oil filter every 3k miles, am i doing it too soon? I use regular 5w20 no synthetic.

3. I asked the tech (not MAZDA) about replacing my AT tranny fluid, and he said no because theres some sort of way our AT RX8 tranny cleans itself? Somekind of hydraulic crap inside our tranny?

I check and add to all my cars fluids as needed.

 

1. I really dont know that one. I would seach and see what others are using in the AT section. My AT got tottaled at just under 80k so I never replaced my diff fluids.

2. I use 5W-30 all year round and pre mix. When ever my gas light comes on I top off and pre mix. I change my oil when it looks dirty or around 2,500 mils. Others will tell you get your moneys worth but thats them this is me.

3. I dont know about cleaning it self. Maybe a filter.. But yeah keep an eye on the fluid level. Over time it will turn from a pink to brown. When it does its time to change it.

Sorry I cant give you a full run down on the AT or the fluids as I never got a chance to change mine on the AT nor have I got around to changing my fluids yet.
