Hi, I'm new to the forum and just got my RX-8 ('05 GT) about a week ago.
I'm planning on installing this in-dash touch screen to my car with a computer in the center console (though my current setup is a little too big >_<)
Are any of you all going to evo2k9?

Actually that was my best friend who works at Fry's, he borrowed my car for a day and pretended he traded in his benz for it :P
That computer i'm putting in used to be in his old lex and he's giving it to me because he can't mess with all that fiber optics stuff in his car >_<
He says he sometimes sees a group of rx-8s meet up at the parking lot.
I don't have any other friends in town so I thought coming here would help me get out a little too... I'm almost 22 and I haven't done shiiieett here lol so I guess i'm looking forward to anything coming up that I can go to ~ you all seem nice.

Yeah uh there is a get together at my place on Friday if you wanna help move stuff lol. Some of us will be there and it should be a good time, stop by just to say hi you don't have to move anything. I live in Southern Highlands off the 15 exit Silverado Ranch Blvd.
I am interested in this carputer and Lilliput and would like one in my 8 as well. Please get me involved in this somehow.

^cool I'll let you know about the carputer... my friend ordered something for me that would let me have an aux connection for the carputer... as far as the dash kit is concerned it'll be a significantly different looking one compared to those of you who have those liliput navi setups since my screen is motorized to come out and up... my main concern is how the carputer will fit... because my existing enclosure is too big for the center console and I don't have enough clearance under the passenger seat (though I haven't checked)... so right now I'm just looking around the forum for pictures of other people's setups and how they went about fitting everything inside >_<
anyway I'm free if you need extra help moving...

I've lived south of the strip right around the Southpoint this past year, but my lease is up next month, so for the meantime I'm actually around your area off the 215 and tropicana (where that walmart is right?)... I commute to CSN everyday

welcome! VR's have a special place in my heart... LOL oh and do you still have the Indy Fiero? That was the first car I bought on my own... brings back so much memories.
