I got it about a month and a half ago when I had my battery replaced. It did feel much better afterwards. When I had my brake pads done a week or two later, I told them it felt like it revved smoother and had more pull from the get-go.

I do notice that, as a result, I'm using more oil and find myself checking it about every few fill ups whereas I wasn't before (I typically found myself adding some maybe once between every oil change--it just never got down below 1/2 full).

The flash, and the premix Phil fronted me (thanks Phil!) have the car feeling much better to the point I was actually suprised when I merged onto the Summerlin Pkway yesterday, going from 30 to about 80 before I even knew it.

 

I got a Wii, man. It sucks--just not enought good games. The best games tend to be the Mario series, and they're just too kiddy for me. Zelda was great, as was RE4 and Guitar Hero III, but they just lack that "play me again" vibe once you get through them (granted, what made Zelda great was it took 60+ hours to do so, and that was using a guide on the internet).

^^^I'm good on premix I got my case a couple weeks ago and gave a bottle to Armin I don't know if he believes in it or not but he put some in his tank. I have converted thanks to you and Gil. BTW Phil what is your take on synthetic oil I saw a post from BHR Ray that seemed like he endorses it. What kind of oil do you use in your 8?

 

If you would like for your engine to last longer, your mileage to slightly improve and your engine to perform better under all forms of stress then use premix. Premix will also be helpful in the 09 engine even since the installed an additional oiling point.

I use only synthetic oil in the engine and transmission. Ray uses only synthetic oils as does Mazda Maniac. I will not try and get technical on the subject but it's the only oil that you should be using. I know Mazda was saying to use only dino fluids but privately they are saying do not use Mobil synthetic (not real sure why)
I've been using Royal Purple in both but Ray is telling me he has a new trans synthetic. fluid that is better.

Just found out what the new flash is. Not sure how to explain it. Most of what you feel from the flash is due to doing a reset. If you have the Access Port the new flash will do nothing.

 

I WOT my car so much I got on the freeway today, hit redline in 3rd and not a lot of black smoke came out unlike before when I would treat my car like a grandma lol

You've got an extra case on hand? I went to order last week, but the site wasn't working. Then Phil said he was going to order some, which would work great for me because I have a condos and my unit is on the second floor with no place to leave a package, and I'm not home when they deliver. Had to spend lunch at the post office the other day to pick up some new shoes--such a PITA.

Either way, if you have an extra case on hand and Phil hasn't order, cool. If he has, no biggie.

That is exactly what I have been reading that Mazda secretly uses synthetic on their rotaries but makes us use dino oil. It's a conspiracy, I was reading the thread from SleepyZ that at the remanufacturing plant he works in Virginia is that they got a few barrels of 76 synthetic 5w-20 that they use when they dyno the rebuilt renesis engines. I also read that most european and australian 8's are on the synthetic stuff as well. WTF this is BS
