BTW, has anyone had the radiator light pop up cause of the high temp in vegas?
I checked and fluid level was good...I just don't know

 

never had that problem, but i get a misfire when real hot like driving back home from work around 5pm, anyone experience that?

 

i drove mine for 4 hours yesterday in the dead of the hot...around a steady 110. Nothin wrong happened, no funny noises...my oil temp was probably |----| that far to the right going towards the H.

oh and btw for a set of 4 it only cost me 1150..i was pleasantly surprised

 

if i was you id walk round see the sights, thats if you havent been to vegas before. See the fountains at the bellagio etc. If id been to vegas before id probably just go to the movies. I dont really know what to suggest doing alone to be honest

 

Oh Nah sorry. I just read back my post too. It sounds like i have the same ones. Nah i like yours but i'm getting the volk g t v's. But for 3500 just for the wheels i gotta wait a bit. I have the money now but i'm married and i feel bad just spending that kind of money on myself

 

hehe yeah...i had leftover money after getting my 8 and was expecting to spend close to 2500 on my rims and tires...when they told me that the stock tires would fit on these new rims i was ecstatic...saved me around 800 bucks...also im turning in my OEM rims for 200...i know thats dirt cheap but it certainly does get rid of the hassle of selling and storing them. it was 325 a rim.

hmm, thats a bummer...ill have to look into that when i need a new set of tires, i made my first fill up today, it was only 3/4 a tank...i thought $38 was pretty reasonable with premium, considering my whole family owns suvs/trucks and pay 80+ on regular

 

If there is any interest out there, the super charger install is complete and the car is running well. I thought about having a "show and tell" meet. I've posted about this a couple of times and only had two responses but if there is any interest I will show up on Sunday 7/8/07 at the Angel Park parking lot on Durango at Westcliff just off Summerlin Parkway Durango off ramp. I'll be there at 8am. I'm only going to come if someone answers this post or PMs me as there is no reason to sit there to entertain myself. Let me know.

I just got my car detailed, interior and exterior today, it looks real good, i have never seen the car looking so shiny and my wheels looking so good. I also had some scratches on the back from when i removed the spoiler that was on. They buffed them all out. The interior is spotless too. It was $155 and took them about 2.5 hours but i would say it was worth it.
I tried taking some pics after we just watched transformers (really good movie) but they didnt come out too good.

 

Some people are morning people are some are evening people. If a later time would be better, I'll go for it. Also was thinking that the heat would be less at that time but what the hell - that just something you learn to live with. If anyone would not show because of the hour, it is negotiable. Unfortunately my car is not as pristine as normal due to this install and other ongoing work.

 

I can be there at 8 or later. Whatever works for others. Just let me know when.

I will be in Vegas this weekend and thought it would be cool to see my fellow NV 8's. However, 8 am is way to early. I plan on playing the night before plus the drive back to California. However, would love to meet up with you guys!

 

the more whites i see the more i like them, thats a really nice white rx8. Itd be real cool one day to all meet up somewhere on the strip and drive to lake mead or something, its a cool drive

the illegals is the street races ...(shhhh) they are located on valley view street...the best night to go is on saturdays at midnight, but be prepared to rush out of there in a hurry if the cops show up

I took a drive down to Primm to the outlet malls, probably about a 40 minute drive or so from Summerlin. no problems at all around 112 degrees while I was out. Then I went and saw Transformers (it was entertaining for what it was, but I really wish producers would focus on the script/story before all else).
