luv4eternity I also took my car to the dealership and they told me I had to change my ignition coils. They were charging me with $750 for the diagnostic, oem parts, and installation. I went online and found some better coils for $230, called a private company and they said they'll install them for $70. Dealer tryna make a profit? lol but yea what ignition coils did you get because from this forum people are saying how bad and undurable the oem coils are.

 

yes...the dealership IS making a profit out of u...its the same for me ....if u can do it out side of the dealer ship, i recommended u doing so...BHR ignition coils are a much better coil alltogether compared to the OEM because of how weak the OEM are....if im not mistaken, u should be able to get them around $480++ for those coils...oem are around $200-250...BHR are more expensive but they last WAY longer than OEM...but be sure your private company knows how to change them as they are pretty delicate .... from ppl i know who had BHR, i nvr heard complains about it so far...and even if they did, BHR has good customer service....

 

Yea BHR would be the way to go.. but a little too expensive for me. I went with NGK ignition coils since their spark plugs are pretty renown. They actually came in today. And yea I looked for a local shop that specializes on Mazdas and has experience with other rotaries.

 

p.s. i think i just got slightly ripped off today for my alignment..

mazda said the rear failed but the front was fine

goodyear said the rear was fine and they fixed the front alignment..

and according to derek, jon hasnt responded to his calls or texts, plus he hasnt been on here since december... mysterious.

well what about this...milipitas and pinole are like an hour away from each other if not more (traffic, etc) so why not meet somewhere in the middle? like millbrae?

 

I'm out in el cerrito Richmond area too and if there is meet around here I'm down to show up Np only reason I've haven't got to a meet recently is because going to san Jose is super far just to hang for a couple of hours
