I peek in case I'm ever up north or think I might be.. Most of these events are like 4 hours away one way, so a little difficult to attend. Being not quite in NorCal and not what you'd consider proper SoCal kinda sucks, no events anywhere near me except for events at Buttonwillow.

 

it helps me. I get an email any time you post to this thread, and that’s the only way I find out about the meetups because I’m not on any social media. (I couldn’t make this meetup because I’m out of town.)

But you could also just text me or send me an email if that’s easier.

 

No worries! Maybe one day we shall meet up but I'm glad to know that people still look in the thread. I was just worried that the thread is just completely dead and at a certain point, I don't want to keep spamming a dead thread.

No worries John! It's good to know people still look through here. I'm old school as well so posting on the forums is how I started and will always be apart of the routine.

 

One of these days maybe I will midnight drive to a early AM meet somewhere in Cali. My car isnt spotless, in fact it has its share of blemishes... however you can tell its built to be driven and appreciated and I think that speaks to the way it sits when parked and those who appreciate that aesthetic would hopefully really like seeing it in person.

I however would be doing the drive for my own enjoyment, share pride in my car, and have plans afterward to hit up a brewery or something in a scenic setting for some good food and refreshments after the main meet, and just relax for a good while before driving hours back into the Central Valley. Should I ever show up to an event and anyone want to hit up another spot afterwards, know thats what I would likely be up to.

 

This sounds like a great time and I do want to see your 8 in person. Hopefully by then, my 8 will be back on the road!
