Bay Area Meet

Seems like every other region has one of these regularly except us. I am hoping that we can all keep this thread alive, and get it sticky'd. I just wanted to check how many people would be interested in a meet sometime before Christmas. Its been quite some time since a signicant number of 8 owners got together. Perhaps we can do a drive after the meet this time, if people promise to behave! I was thinking maybe the 17th around 12 or 1 would be good. Anyone have any objections?

I really don't know where to meet. Perhaps the kind folks at Auto R&D would be down to have another meet? I just hope that it doesn't rain since we are around that time of year.

I'm good to go on one...although I don't know about a drive. I had bad experiences with drives. I just like to park it at one spot and admire the 8s.

Rishie a AutoRnD talked about setting up one before the end of the year when I went for that brief amount of time...I hope he will still set it up.

A drive would be cool. nothing too aggressive. Not looking to attract the local constables. Sure would beat fighting crowds in a mall looking for crappy presents

I still haven't heard back from the dude at Auto R&D. If worse comes to worse, would you guys be down for the old meeting spot at Dave and Busters? If its raining or cold, we could always go to one of the lower levels in the parking garage.

How about an incentive for those who will join this meet. I will give out the info on where I got my OBX Header cheap :D

I already have one sitting in the garage. Hopefully, we could get together on an install session.

I would like to help install it, depending on the weekend. I had to change my take off the engine mount, hold the tranny, and remove my exhaust manifold for the turbo install. Its not that hard once you know how to do it.

Sounds good. I will be in Milpitas that day anyways, so I'm tentatively in for this meet.

Instead of a drive, would you all be interested in Karting? I've never been before, and from the way PURNRG has described it, it seems like a whole lot of fun. Perhaps we can all meet at the actual Karting place.

Go-karts? I thought it was going to be real karting? Like Shift karts or something?

So it sounds like most are down for Karting. Now there is a place in Fremont, and Burlingame. I'd personally rather go to Fremont since its closer to me, and the San Jose people, but I'm down for whatever. This brings me to something else. I have to leave by 2, so I was wondering if everyone would be down to meet an hour earlier, at 11am. Let me know what you all think!
