HAPPY NEW YEAR BAY AREA !!
The FIRST Thursday Night Mazda Meet for 2011 !

Date/Time : January 6th (Thursday) @ 7:00pm
Location : WING STOP
Address : 503 Coleman Ave, San Jose, CA 95110
( There are other choices such as Chevys etc etc if wing stop isn't in your cup of tea )

Notes: Welcome to 2011. Hope you all had a blast celebrating New Years with your family and friend. This week, we are gonna hit wing stop for some nice chicken wings. If chicken isn't a nice choice for you, there is also Chevys and other restaurants in that plaza. It's also close to Target if you guys need to get groceries. Therefore save your grocery shopping till then ! Hope to see you guys there !

It WILL be cold that night as the weather forecast said it will be around 41-59degrees for that day so wear some warm cloths ! WASHING your car would be a good choice since its not gonna rain anytime soon (according to yahoo weather).

Hope you all can make it

PS :If you need my contact number, PM me and i will give it to you.

PSS: If John a.k.a. "Mazdaspeed RX8 ver2" decides to do some changes, it will take effect immediately as he is the OP of the thread. If im not mistaken, he WILL post in blue&red.

Damn. I just moved to the area a month ago and have only had my 8 for two weeks now, and if I had joined this forum a day earlier I could have stayed in SJ after work and gotten some wings.

Also, hi everyone. I'm Ben.

Hey all, had a little proposition. I'm probably going to do another mountain run sometime in the future with a friend of mine, maybe within 2 weeks or so (more planning needed). I'm wondering if that would be a fun little drive that anyone would want to join in on?

I was planning on one or two roads:
Hicks Rd. or San Felipe Rd.

San Felipe is not too long, its quite short, and has a passive view of San Jose as you go back down the mountain in some twisties.

Hicks Rd is much longer, and last time I was there, me and another friend found some sketchy areas that I've never been to, but it was fun none the less. Also Hicks has a road off of it that goes to Mt. Uminum that has another great view of the city, but its not passive.. Involves leaving your car in a no parking after sunset area and doing a little hike up over the Mt top. If you've never been there, it's worth checking out at least once in your lifetime

note: there are pretty gnarly stories of these roads, and I've only experienced one of which on San Felipe, and the past 2 times I've gone, some realllly weird stuff has happened.

The first time, I came up to a Cadillac with a bouncing trunk swerving all over the road

The second, I got chased out by this crazy truck coming from the area where the haunted schoolhouse is located

Third times the charm?

ANYWAYS, if anyone is interested, then yeah, just throwing it out there since I'm experienced with these roads. Plus I live very close to the entrance of Hicks rd and I know how to get to San Felipe relatively easy from my house. I'm providing a picture of in front of my house to give you an idea that its a good quick meet spot before going

as you can see, I have a lot of space.

probably Tuesday thru Thursday nights and weekend nights are the best for me. Never available Monday or Friday nights

Thanks for reading, have a nice weekend!

no, I'm on the good side of the street. the other side of the street, the whole thing is like a curved sidewalk. My sidewalk is a block sidewalk. its actually easy to get into my driveway if you want a pic of that too, you low ****. I'll get you skyjackers next christmas

The plugs and ignition coil is dead...it caused the o2 sensor to fail and cat to smell up.... I'm paying about $2500 to get everything replaced, re-tune and seals replaced.... I couldn't do it myself coz the plugs melted into the wiring ...hella back fired when I was driving it...

that sucks to hear man, a lot of dough right there.. they did some free check ups, and i have a transmission leak, an oil leak, both my engine mounts collapsed, and my rear alignment is way off... it'd be like $1500 for all of that or something, but I'll do it myself, cheaper. except the alignment, i got a buddy at Goodyear, i'll try and get a discount tomorrow for the alignment
