How funny. The guys were talking about that at dinner(about the 4k rx7). And ya it's a drastic change from the truck to the car but it's a nice change. I get to experience both worlds I guess.
is it the same one im talking about? over by the great mall some where.. is it any good or worth checking out? there was no pics in the ad, but i checked out rx7club.com and its a nice model year
another funny thing is when i was driving back to work today, a red RX7 convertible drove by me (i was in the work truck, so no friendly greetings [quite possibly an 88 model too])
His plates on it was "RX7 LVER"... is that anyone on the forums?

who cares about my crappy 8, its only a 4 speed auto with 85k miles
that 7 is a 5 speed manual with 82k miles.. and a convertible!!
i came from a sebring convertible, i miss it very much. haha.. well i found another 4k rx7 for you guys, meh

but whos going to buy a damaged, poor gas milage (12-13), car, WITH a lemon title for over $3,998? i cant even sell the car cuz im still paying off my parents..
and since im not going to school anymore, i'll lose my good student discount, and im already halfway to 7k miles in like 4 months, so there goes my low miles discount.. i cant imagine how much more they'll make it than $778 every 6 months..
long story short, im stuck with the 8 for now
p.s. $778 is without no accidents or tickets, cuz im such a good driver.. more like they cant catch me

Hah, I see. Well I pay 936.00 for 6 months with my insurance. Two speeders, no accidents, and no student discount cause my gpa doesn't qualify, lol. I'm still paying my 8 off as well, still have about 12k left on a 27k loan.
it must be those speeders that are killing you. and lol @ your gpa.. i guess we even out because im the one with the low mpg.. its less than 1/4 tank right now and its only gotten 118.5 miles.. i mean yeah, maybe i lead foot it around some of the time.. but its not like im driving at 5k rpm the whole 118 miles. i dont get it. im going to look up more compression stuff on here and then fill her up again.. guess i'll post my mpg when i get back
Well I really only have one speeding ticket on my record(I took traffic school for the first one before I got my commercial license, thank god) I have a 1000.00 deductible on a car that's 27k (which is way over the price of it now but that's better than being less) plus statefarm charges a bit more than anyone else. Hmm and for the compression problem have you checked your compression recently? I've been wanting to check mine but haven't gotten around to it. Maybe we can meet up and check them at the same time or something. I get about 20 mpg just around the city(I think) but I only drive about 4 or 5 miles a day if I don't go to a meet.
yeah, i got statefarm too, which my parents have been with them longer than i have been born... but i guess they dont factor that in for me..
and no, i have not.. dont know how, but i've heard they do it at the dealers, and thats like $100.. but then I'd be eligible for that engine core warranty, which, who knows.. maybe thats my little problem.. i mean can lead footing it a lot really have that much of a drastic effect on my cars performance? sounds like everyone does it just the same, but get much higher mpg. theres also speculation that i may have lost power, but how would i know, since im a new owner, and its the only one i've driven, which they've all agreed upon.. also, i did come to the conclusion that i had 12 mpg city, and 15 hwy, so i dunno. haha
what i was curious about the compression for our rotarys, was what the "standard" compression rate was, and what would be considered low compression? and yes, i have tried to search it, but did not look hard enough :D

Okay, well. My schedule is pretty random, as I never know when I'm leaving the next day for Nevada until around 6pm the night before (which is when I'll need to go to bed.). I'm not going tomorrow, but I'm working in the shop till probably after 3pm. Wednesday will probably work best for the both of us, because even if I do go to Nevada I can still make a shot over to the bay and get home before bedtime (hopefully lol). Also it will give me a couple days to use my dads compression tester on my car, and then when we meet up I'll know what to do.
