I finally bit the bullet and traded the 8 in. All those recalls finally got to me

Congrats! I think 7stock will be it for me. I was going to get a IS350, but held off when I heard bmw was coming out with a twin turbo 3 series. Now that its out, and better than I thought it would be, its about time I make the move.

I don't really feel like dealing with a rotary any longer. I can get twice the gas mileage, and still be faster than a FD.

i understand why mike here doesnt want to deal with it anymore, i resepect that mike, rotaries are very tempermental and unpredictable. the bmw is a really good choice, i think any piston engine is a good choice but something about the rotaries pinch me in the right way (wow that sounds wierd). me and my gf agreed that i get all the rotary sports cars while she gets the family cars. hahahaha

ok do it Mike.

I'm down too. i think i'll sell off three of my used cars to get this one. Anyone got any real HP specs on this baby? I'm so out of it, i never even knew. I really need to get out more.

I think RX8, Miata, a couple FC's, and the SC300 5SPD might have to go. Maybe i'll have some money leftover to try and get it tuned and exhaust work. My GAWD, that's dope.

Car and driver states 5.3 sec 0-60. I'm sure dealerships are asking WAY OVER sticker. have you guys looked?

I got a near 500whp super nice clean *** FC. Anyone want it. It's brand new, seriously. I got a couple others too, all in super great condition. All White, except the GTUs which i'll never sell. NA Rotary reliability, oh and fuel economy in this one. lolz.

Shiet, I'll still have a rotary. Just got married and need to consolidate my auto collection. l must say that I get more compliments and looks in my RX8 than any other vehicle i've had. And I've had quite a few. I just love how absolutely gorgeous my car turned out. I'd prob have to lease that Bimmer tho. lolz.

what's the HP and torque rating? Where is Shiv now anyway?

Thanks, Rishie

Shiv has been able to get about 30whp and 30 more lbs of torque across the entire power band just on initial tuning. He did this by richening up the afr, as it is running about 18:1 stock. He was also able to get 70whp on the top end. And this is all with the stock parts. Can't wait until someone develops some bolt ons. You will see plenty of M3s in your rear view with this car.

If you're talking about the 335i, I tested one this week out in Modesto and the dealer was asking straight-up sticker price ($46K, including premium and sport packages). They got 4 in this week and already sold one. Nice car for sure but it's very buttoned-down compared to the outgoing M3. I added a mini-review of my test experience yesterday over on the General Auto board, to the thread "BMW 335i"

Yea I think i'm going to part before I sell, I posted the thread to test it out a little bit. I won't be selling the flywheel since the money I get back from it won't justify the labor to take it out.

You can buy the swaybars once I get it removed. Pretty soon I will selling my zeal function x coilovers too. I will post a thread once these items are off the car.
