I just heard that the Palo Alto Concours d'Elegance, which will be held this year at Stanford on Sunday, June 24, 2012, is in need of more volunteers. If you sign up you get free admission (your volunteer efforts only take an hour or two). My Rx8 engine locked up aparently and the guys in the shop are saying it'll charge me 8k to fix which is almost as much as i got the car for. is there not a cheaper way to go about this? i really dont have much at all to spend considering my current position fresh out of high school, but i miss my Rx so much </3 a friend was mentioning engine swaps but idk much about cars and dont know where else to turn, umm its a mazda 2004 rx8

so pissed off right now, I was driving home tonight from San Francisco, I live in the north bay, so I passed some construction on the 101 N. and then out of no where a F-ing Cone was in the middle of the damn freeway, and I hit it......tore up my baby, so now I am sitting on the couch, angry and drinking a beer.....USAA insurance better have this covered!!!! will post a pic.

Sorry to hear about that. I've dealt with USAA's claims department quite a few times when I was stationed CONUS, and was really impressed with their customer service. I hope all goes well with your claim.

 

Thanks dude, filed the claim online last night, but still waiting to talk to a human about it.... its gonna have to wait until monday I guess offices are closed

 

Check out the State of California or Cal Trans websites. There is a form you can fill out to request compensation for the damage. You have to get at least a couple quotes for the work, but it works.
