On a different topic -

I am looking for a new or (2009-2012 used low miles) RX8 AT (yeah I know, automatic transmission and RX8 does not go together well). I'm keeping my 6 speed manual, but because of issues with a tendon in my foot, my doctor says I should buy an auto for the weekday commute (which can be brutal as we all know) and save the manual for the weekends.

Because I want to try to find one with a full or partial factory warranty, probably a 2012 or 2011 (of which there are very few these days nationwide).

I found a 2009 (no warranty) at Sonnen Porsche in Mill Valley with 10K miles for $19K (haven't gone to see it yet), but I'm sure there are other used ones out there. Hoping for another loaded GT like my current one. I have the dealership (Capitol Mazda) where I bought my current 8 looking for me since that's who would service it, but I figured I'd throw this out there. If there are any dealerships to avoid, I'd like to know. Thanks!

 

i bought my 8 at capitol and they've always treated me right, I'm sure they'll find you an AT quickly.

I still like taking it there for an occasional oil change just to see all the techs come out to gawk at my car.

Any of you guys know of some spots around San Francisco/San Jose to hit up? Gonna be in the area and would like some spots to keep me busy

 

Just lurking around this thread were I used to live at. Anyway, when I used to live there, when there is gonna be a car meet, they sometimes go to the Great Mall at Milpitas, Ca. They always meet up on the top of the parking garage, because there's few vehicles that parks there, and you could take pictures with all that space without any other vehicles involved that does not involved with the meet. Just a suggestion...

 

Well keep me informed I wanna meet a few more 8 members before I ship out and great mall parking garage photoshoot sounds good someone should make an event one of our fellow 8 members i forgot who but he has the silver 8 with pink rims works at great mall I believe

Hello all my bay area peeps:

I put this up in the for sale thread, price is FREE for local pickup.

For "sale", used rx8 all weather floor mats. They've been in my car for 5 years. The driver side shows wear that you would expect after 5 years and the hole in the mat that fits over the seat peg is ripping. This is why I just purchased a new set of floor mats.

I would just throw these away but if someone needs/wants these, they're yours.
I would GREATLY prefer local pick up (San Jose, CA) but if no one local chimes in then I will ship at buyers expense.

 

Mind if I check them out Saturday?
