New to the Forum!

Hi all,

Just bought my RX-8 on Saturday... loving it! I live in Santa Cruz, CA and would love to check out some other 8's in person and learn some stuff from the veterans. I bought a 2006 Shinka, black, totally stock...

Stoked to join the forum and meet some folks... Anybody who has new or used parts, hit me up... I want to make my ride unique to me(and faster/better looking)!

I would post a pic, but you all know what a stock 8 looks like... hahaha!

They fixed the lag issue, but for a while it was really frustrating if you tried to post or even read something here on your phone.
Though how nice would that be if your laptop integrated into your 8 hehe

They are stock and painted flat black, not powder coated. I know edward on here poweder coated himself but as all rims must, they do chip. I had a friend do mine and he works at a body shop up in Berkely. He won't let me tell price becuase he included the car with the job and a whole lotta extras. I guess I could say it was in the 3 digits....

Have people given up on N/A mods and handling(?)
The more I search as my questions outweigh my experience, a few things stick out right away.
Maintenance and improving or excepting mpg.
There are so many threads, with strong opinions of our 8 simply not cutting the fat. One thread from an mazda 6 forum implies."without a turbo their only good for a DD"
anyway the reason this is coming up is I bought a 8 with a fawked intake. I mean hacked. So like the ocd I am,I fixed it.
Not only did I achieve a smooth idle. My mpg and tourqe have improved. My high end is good but I know there is more to be had from her and that adjustment is coming. So I my point(rant)is are there people in our community that still belive in modifications, not bolt ons or programing.

You can call me Ozzy. I do have Tiens on and I had the Alignment done at Wheel Works down the street from my work or you can go to EMC that is next door to Wheel Works. When it comes to lowered vehicles, the only adjustment that can be made is toe. Very little can be don on camber but they will adjust as much as they can. This is in Fremont so it will be a ways out. Let me ask around if there is a place near the city that can help you.
The calipers and rotors are all stock. I will upgrade soon though.

After researching and talking to other guys with flush rides, this is the place you wanna go to. I actually went there before when I had an A3 snd they do awesome work. Hope this helped and hope to meet you at a meet soon. Also check out www.MOCCforums.com as well.
