I'm insterested in helping out but I'd like to talk about it at the meet on the 15th. Sadly my availability can be very difficult to keep consistent but I'd like to help out especially with spreading the word.
BTW...your profile on 7Tuned said that you had an RX-9. If you have one already, then you're the perfect person to head this project

But i'm glad you want to help. You don't have to worry too much on availability as that is something we can work around especially through e-mail, forums and if i need to get a skype or something, we can do that.

Hmm, a meet down in livermore would be fun and a little bit closer for the guys in the valley, definitely should think about doing one of these.

Looking for someone to help me replace the Nav system
Hi there -
I've got a 2004 RX-8 with the navigation system. I've seen reports elsewhere of people ripping that screen out and replacing it with something like a Nexus 7 tablet.
What I'm hoping to find is a recommendation from someone here in the Bay Area for a place or person that can do this kind of wiring/interior work. I just don't have the skills. I can do basic engine things, but fine wiring and interior work is not my thing.
Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Anyone near Fresno that can help this guy out? I'd do it in July when I pass through, but I don't know that he can wait that long.

Oh my goodness, haven't seen you in quite a while, its been way too long. I still remember when you were parting out everything... very sad day that was. What you been up to? What did you get to replace the rx8? Might be time to get an R3 for yourself

^^^ if he would settle for a bone stock 2008 black on black 6-speed manual GT with only 40K miles, I am selling mine. Sad for me, but great for whoever buys it (I am hoping it goes to a good home, to someone who will care for it and respect it as I have).

Are your legs acting up? NOOOO!!! Though whoever picks up your car will be very lucky. Non abused 08 rx8 with only 40k miles! And it's a GT. I hate having a GT on the track but when driving around the street, love it so much, haha.

Not the legs, but the clutch foot (torn major tendon). Plus I am not driving it on my commute because it's a manual transmission. I still love this car, and hope whoever buys it treats it as well as I have. I'm having it detailed this weekend and will post more photos when I have them.
I'm also looking for another automatic transmission DD, as I've put close to 30K on my 6S GT in the two years I've owned it, and plan to keep it.

Sorry to hear about your clutch foot. I remember reading about it before. 2014 Mazda6 Skyactive is a really great car. My gf has one and its sweet!

I test drove the '14 Mazda6 with Skyactiv recently, and while it's pretty and fairly roomy but with less headroom than my '13 (I'm 6'1"), I have decided to keep my 2013 Mazda6 S GT. 2013 was the last year they offered the 3.7L V6, plenty of power and still get decent gas mileage for the size of the engine. Every option except the spoiler and GPS navi. I love it, just don't love how many miles I've put on it in almost 2 years. I have a 30 mile one way work commute (south SJ to Menlo Park, not fun at 5pm southbound as you may know). I go in early (like momentarily after posting this reply) to have decent commute traffic in at least one direction. :D
