I got lucky when i started making guitars and used House of Kolors auto paint. So when i mess up RX8 i can paint it myself and not worry about mess ups from body shops.

Carbon fiber is great if you want to have that yellow hood look in about 2 years once the UV gets to the resins.

What did they throw out the window? turpentine?

 

would you paint someone elses? i want to paint my lip kit.

 

If i was rice and went the CF route then I would be applying, removing, reapplying, removing, etc... some good wax with UV protection in it on a weekly basis. Lucky for me I'm not rice or 3 years ago, so it will be painted.

Its quite funny how i backed into my friends car and put a scratch in my paint but not thiers...
So I just bought some paint and this 3 day weekend i will be painting my back bumper. AS i am doing that I will be painting the bottom part that is black to match my car. I painted the 2 exhaust shrouds with a silver marbilizer. I adds a nice affect with the colors...

Once I see how well i did i will post some pics so then you can judge and see if you would like me to paint your bumper part...
It looks great when i paint but i am not perfect nor selling my skills if you know what I mean... I do not do it for a living just a hobby...

I'll be at work, installing a JL cleansweep to replace my LC7.

 

What are you doing with the LC7?

 

If it looks good and doesnt cost me an arm and a leg I would be interested in you color/paint matching the rear ABS peice.

After that, I think I'll start looking at getting the MS spoiler, front bumper and sides

 

First I'm going to see if the Cleansweep works. Then I'm going to be RMAing the LC7 to make sure it isn't broken, then I'll be selling it.

Well, I just configured 9 laptops for our latest acquisition at work.

I've got a machine with a dying hard drive, A VPN token to mail out, and an appointment with the CEO to adjust his e-mail archiving settings.

 

Had prime rib for lunch. Hitting food coma hard. Gotta find someplace to sneak a nap, I'm thinking maybe schedule a meeting in one of the meeting rooms.

I blame Jedi for making me get this hood.. well, i blame the raffle i lost and now my desire to own it. Just sent in the payment today, should have the hood in 2 months.

I have a CF Seibon trunk and KS hood on order I got for $1000 shipped for both from Seibon brand spankin new.

Now I need a friggin CF MS wing and I'm set.
