shoot, it happened again... this time when I was approaching redline in 3rd gear, it started flickering, I backed off, but then it flashed off and on for about 5 seconds, then stayed on solid. so I'm going to swing by autozone tonight and get the codes read and reset. is there anything else you can think of that would cause it? I'm wondering now when the last time was I got up to redline in 3rd gear... might have been a while.
Just sounds like a random misfire.
The Renesis is prone to believing it is misfiring when it really isn't.
Its because of noise on the ESS circuit.
As long as you don't hear any weird noises or feel a loss of power, you don't need to be concerned with it, though it will, eventually set the CEL.

OK, here's the scoop for our New Year's Day Drive. Meet in the parking lot of the Phoenix Zoo (between VanBuren and McDowell Road on Galvin Parkway) between 10 and 10:30 am. Depart for a drive to the top of South Mountain at 11 am. Leave summit of South Mountain Park by 12:30 to get to F1 by 1 pm for Go Karting, lunch, and door prizes."

What is wrong with my SIG pic?
It should be transparent. The car outline should be gray if you use the "light" VB skin and off-white if you use "plasma".

Sorry for the delay in posting, and yes, thanks to Sue, MM and Easy for getting the ball rolling on this event.
As we did last year, let's meet again around 10 am on New Year's Day for our little Rotary Romp up South Mountain. Plan is to meet on the North side of the Phoenix Zoo parking lot. The Phoenix Zoo is located between VanBuren and McDowell Road on Galvin Parkway. Departure time will be at approximately 10:30 am for a drive to the top of South Mountain. Leave summit of South Mountain Park around 12:30 to get to F1 by 1 pm for Go Karting, lunch, and door prizes.
Hope to see everyone there!
