Talking In less than 24 hours...

There will be a brand spankin' new fully loaded RX8 sitting in front of the house :D Time flies when you're having fun, but boy does it drag on when you can't wait for something....

Some specs anyway:

2006 RX-8 Type E (4AT), imported from Japan, white colour
Already has some small spoilers and skirts, looks quite good, might wait longer than planned before going to aftermarket bodykit.
standard 18" rims and potenza tyres

Bose sound system
keyless entry and ignition
satellite navigation (gonna cost quite a lot of $$$ to change it to Thailand maps...)
4 corner parking sensors
sunroof

pretty much as good as it gets. Automatic, you ask? Truthfully I'd prefer a manual, but have you ever been stuck in a Bangkok traffic jam? You'd need the Hulk's left leg to manage...

Went to see it at the garage today, they are putting some final touches (V-Kool, temporary license plates and a final polish), and tomorrow morning... vavoom!

Yipee yay

Yeah, four corners sensor with beeper and individual LEDs, BUT, it is an annoyingly ugly rectangular block that seems to be stuck on with double sided tape to the side of the center armrest/console, between the navigation system buttons and the gearshift... Really ruins the sleek clean interior, perhaps I'll have to bust out a dremel and try and mount it flush to the surface...

Well, it's not a button, you can see a bit from the pic, there is an icon for the car and a hidden LED in each corner, the LED blinks when something gets close to that area. Also, the beep is more of a bel sound, with a different tone if it is a sensor in the front or back that is activated. And, there is a membrane button at the bottom to turn the sound on/off.

No MD player in my car Not even tape player... 6-CD changer in dash-though :D

1) older model available only
2) only manual transmission available (in retrospect, I probably should ahve gone for manual, the 4 gears of the AT are a bit of a hindrance)
3) no white color available
4) more expensive, with less options pre-installed
