If you haven't already heard it Gateway is back. For those of you who like track days, autox, rallyx, road racing, and drag racing Gateway International is back. Look for an SCCA PDX event sometime in October along with a possible St. Louis Region Index Challenge autox. Gateway also wants to have rallyx on the dirt parking lot so that should be fun also. Not sure of that schedule though.

SCCA Club racing (road racing) is planning at least two national events next year with a possible third event also.

Drag racing is expected to start up by spring time since there is more work and staffing needed in that area.

NHRA is already set for October 2012.

The new owner is a local St. Louisan so we all need to come out to as many events as you can to help support him and keep Gateway open for us all to have fun at.

I'll do my best to keep all of you posted on events and dates.

 

Awesome! PDX so soon?

 

A lot of things have to come together to get the PDX that soon but numerous people will be working to get it going. Most important of all the track will have to pass a safety inspection by the SCCA Folks in charge of granting the sanctions. Surface is supposed to be in good shape but lots of housekeeping, weed cutting etc still to be done.

 

Glad to hear it! It will be nice to have the raceway for AutoX now.

 

Family Arena has a bigger lot and is closer for me. :-P

 

Well, now that I live at SLU, it's pretty much either one for me. hah
