I wil be chaning my stock springs and adding the RB springs. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to doing the swap without getting a spring compressor. And also what are some things to look out for when changing the springs the oh **** i wish i would have done it this way things.

 

You can get the stock shocks apart without a compressor if you are real careful.....I don't know how easy it would be to put the RB springs in without one though...I doubt you can. I know that if you are going to the Koni's you will need one for sure.

I think the only trick to remember is to pay attention to the upper mount relationship when you put them back together. If it is in the wrong place it can be a bitch to straighten them out when you are doing a shock install. With coilovers it isn't a problem though cause you can turn the body of the shock.

Remember to not tighten the bushings at droop....lower the car...and then tighten them up...or jack the suspension up to ride height before you tighten them

 

GET A SPRING COMPRESSOR. And for the love of God be careful.
Find a friend who has used one before to help you.
Improper use could result in SERIOUS INJURY. BE CAREFUL!

i knew i could get one from autozone but i dont think i can hold on to it for a week can I the car will be down for a least 4-5 days and I wont have another avaible ride that i can just use when i need. any one know what the time limit on these borrowed products are w/o paying a fee??

 

Call them and ask...........I know when I dd I asked about that and they were willing to let me hold for a week. I gave them my numbder in case they needed them, but they had three sets. I only had them two days at it turned out.
