Auto Craft Turbo Kit

I have found an Auto Craft Turbo kit for the Rx8 that ships from Japan. Does anyone have any information on this? I would like to add a turbo to my Rx8 and this appears to be a good start, however I can not find any information on what all is included in this kit other than a photo. I am new to this (not the car, just adding a turbo) so I figured if I could find a reasonably priced kit as a good starting point, then I could improve from there where needed. Also, I am only looking for around 100hp increase, just to help with the lack of power at altitude in the mountains here in Colorado.

Looks like the same stuff as a Greddy Turbo Kit.....

E-manage is inadequate....

Might not provide anywhere near a complete kit

That is alright, I wasnt looking for a complete kit, just a start so I can learn what I am doing as I do it. But it appears there is an exhaust manifold, turbo, piping and intercooler all here. That leaves tuning, possibly injectors and then need to figure out the exhaust, plus odds and ends. My engine was just replaced with a mazda reman around 5k miles ago. I was hoping to use Versatuner to tune it, thoughts on that? Remember, I am not looking for a ton of hp, just to make it more fun in the mountains.
If anyone has an idea if this is a good deal or not, I am definitely open to suggestions.
This isnt my daily driver, so it isnt a big deal if it is sitting in my garage for a long time.

it will be a Japanese RHD kit. Pretty sure the USA LHD kit is discontinued. IMO you’re better off finding a used kit here in the states. There was a used kit listed in FS area, but the price is fubar imo. Forum member Xero Ryuu found and installed one recently and is just now tuning it. Try searching nationally on Craigs List etc. That tuning solution should work, but you need to go through reading all the Greddy turbo mods on here and understand the limitations because you are using an NA ecu rather than one designed for turbo use. That said, you can overcome that with the right parts and knowledge.

Yeah ...that is an actual Greddy kit . Not a bad place to start but as Team says ...read up on all the fixes. Stock ECU works fine when tuned properly ..... Would suggest Mazdaedit over Versatune as it's not only well proven ,but doesn't come with monthly fees! Versatune isn't yet proven on turbos AFAIK

I live near to that shop and been there, I enquired about that kit a few years ago. It is the Greddy kit, i'm not aware if there is a RHD and LHD version. Shop is nice but a bit pricy.

It’s still offered on the Trust-GReddy site in Japan, but this is from GReddy USA. There must be some difference between the two.

Thanks for the info, I will start reading up on the Greddy kits here. There are a couple turbo kits in the FS section also.

I saw this jdm engine and tranny with turbo on ebay USA yesterday, they say they do compression tests on all engines and can provide the report.

Thats definitely the greddy kit lol but just to add some insight there isn’t a rhd or lhd kit. I was in contact with trust greddy in Japan and the kits are all the same and meant to fit both lhd and rhd cars. Even if they were different, all rhd turbo kits would for the most part fit lhd as the biggest difference is a rhd kit is meant to route piping around the steering rack but since there is no steering rack to clear on a lhd a rhd turbo kit will bolt right up.

that’s good enough for me; I only know they don’t sell it here anymore and the USA site seems to state that there might be some difference; “designed for USA spec”.

I bought my Greddy kit second hand from US . It was difficult to get steering column clearance but got there with some tweaking.

Also curious I just picked up a 10 rx8 with 13k in it with great compression test results. Would love to turbo or super charge it.
I also will be using versa tune. I’m planing on using meth injection also for lower ait. That should also provide any needed extra fuel and octane.
I run this setup on all my ecoboost engines and works great.
