This custom job is by machine shop all in pr call this (pineo) it like another 2 bolt in the engine. That engine modification help to be more strong.

Was talking about the difference between the one you posted and these :

86-95 Rx7 13B 2mm No Recess Solid Corner Seal...

I'm just parroting info I heard from an engine builder in the UK about those soilid corner seals with a reccess ... apparently they have had lots of side plate failure issues when using them.

Interested to see what that 2 bolt modification is . Any pics ?
I had mine doewlled which seems to do the trick .

video soon. so you can see well the modification.
So far all engines my mechanic do with solid corner seal atkins work well. But it's like anything, any mistake can damage the engine.

We still have two options goopy apex seal 2mm RENESIS or 2mm oldschool. We still need to find a machine shop to install correctly 2mm oldschool.

I have run 2mm unbreakable Renesis seals ... they were ok but were wearing badly on the sides where they contact the rotor grooves after only 60,000kms .
Now running rx7 depth 2mm .

how many rwhp you have. Txt me more easy 7874663919.

I understand that you just need the extra bolt and corner seal solid.

Brettus 02-10-2016 04:22 PM

Mine is running in the 400whp+ region currently .... my engine has rx7 apexs, dowels, and modified corner seal plugs ( using rx8 parts).

I'm in NZ but we can talk on google hangouts (brettus8@gmail.com) if you like .

But you have porting admision and exhaust?

Our engines need more exhaust. That's the problem with them. Many temperature inside the engine is equal to break.RENESIS engiene is high compression. In high boost you can not go very high in timing. For this reason large turbos are used to avoid taking hp by timing.

Well ............my setup has :

Some exhaust porting work , a unique siamese wastegate setup , large (gt3582) turbo with 1.01AR twin scroll turbine hsg. Free flow 3" exhaust. And w/m injection.
So yes much thought was given to maximising exhaust evacuation and 400whp is now easy to achieve at fairly low boost.

Nice setup almost equal.

You have watermethanol injector? This is important to lower temperature in our engine.
I understand that the extra bolt and solid corner will help a lot to your setup.
In addition I will modify some air inlet chamber.
Looking for the engine last longer

looking forward to results. Specs remind me of the T04z which always made good power on rx7s. I wonder if there is any new tech in the wheel designs to promote better spool and power

I do not understand?? What??

Brettus 06-28-2016 11:17 PM

When are you going to have it running again ?

gamaliel31 06-29-2016 04:01 PM

This week .

gamaliel31 07-04-2016 05:42 PM

Yes. Running like factory but need tuning on boost.

need deep clean, fix some details and new powder coating paint

You should make up a scoop off the fans to force feed air off the rad. fans into the turbo inlet . Would work better than just blowing hot air all over the turbo......:suspect:
