Agree, you have external fuel regulator?? Or stock?

My car has 360rwhp with problem in old dyno. I think in modern dyno I get 15 more same boost (15). But right now I use my car daily at 10psi.

Stock regulator with a DW300 pump and some internals mods .

Me too, but Rocky told me it's not good to use that for the 400rwhp. An external one is necessary. When using the factory forces the pump and the injectors to the maximum and that is not good. Fuel pressure is important to be the same all time.
I use line 6 from the pump to the injectors and I will use the fuel factory line for return with external aeromotive regulator 13129 for the modification.

We will continue to try new changes.

I would add that 400 is about the limit of the Renesis exhaust ports no matter what octane fuel you run ...go much higher and you will become well known to your engine builder .

Wasnt it the Ethanol you thought chattered your housings?

Ethanol combined with aftermarket seals ...yes .
I now have Mazda rx7 oem seals in there and ,fingers crossed, they will be fine .

I have a fuel pressure guage ... it stays steady at 58psi under boost .

Same here. I don't know how the E85 treating my housings but the engine still has good compression (low 8's at 290RPM) but I guess it depends on a lot of factors and I am only peaking at 13psi or so.

And mine 60psi. But it is not the same a stock regulator of few pounds that one bigger with greater handling of pounds of pressure. I will make the change for an external one and try. External regulator closer to the fuel rail has to make some changes. We will continue to improve and research with the results.

All you are trying to achieve is a steady pressure at the injectors (or rising if you go that way) . Anything that achieves that ...works .

RX8 R3 11 psi on the way to the gym

Your AFR's are on point.

gamaliel31 03-29-2017 09:51 AM

Almost always at 10.9, 11.0 when it activates methanol. That day was the weather a little colder by the rain that had fallen. But 11.5 is good too.

9krpmrx8 03-29-2017 10:30 AM

I was being sarcastic, that is rich at idle.

gamaliel31 03-29-2017 06:03 PM

That is the key for engine life with high compression. No matter that you miss some rwhp. Talking rwhp how much do you have? You talk like you have 400 rwhp and only have 300 lol. When you get more that I have your sarcasm maybe is important to see.

Boost wont do that . Must have been a backfire into the intake ?

9krpmrx8 03-31-2017 01:59 PM

 Definitely backfire. And I would love to hear about how super rich AFR's at idle keep the engine safe.

9krpmrx8 03-31-2017 02:10 PM

I think you ran too much NAS

My intake has seen up to 20 psi and been fine . Plus none of the turbo guys I've tuned for have ever blown the UIM .
