Considering Versatune ‘11 R3, will it tune out CEL for catless midpipe?

Hey guys, I am considering purchasing the Versatune for my ‘11 R3, but I wanted to double check and make sure that nobody has had any issues with tuning out the check engine light for running a catless midpipe, I am also going to consider tuning out and removing the secondary air injection. Basically, before I shell out 300-500 I want to make sure whatever tuning software I purchase will actually do what it says as far as tuning out specific CEL codes on a series 2 car without throwing a bunch of other codes and becoming a PITA.

Current user.
It has no problem masking CEL, I run catless without secondary air system, if I choose to block the CEL it will work as desired.
Their customer service is exceptional.
However, several club members are experiencing random engine cut offs during WOT and we are sure it is software related, this might have to do with their launch control.
They sent me a beta version of VT without launch control, no cut off since then.

A little concerning these cutoffs, but they can be corrected by deleting/disablinglaunch control?

Disable them won't solve it, but you can email them to see if they can remove launch control and make you a customized version.
They made a customized version for me which does not include launch control. No more cut offs since then, but I am still gathering data and going through different driving conditions.
You may hold on to your money for few more weeks. Wait for the track guy's response.

I have an ME221 ECU in my turbo Miata and it has some similar quirks, with it sometimes the tachometer needle will spin wildly when I get over 5500 rpms, I have checked grounds, gauges, everything and I believe it is something to do in the software.

But yeah, I definitely will wait and inquire.

Mazdaedit works fine on series 2 . No launch control but I wouldn't be concerned about that .

Any good tunes out there and/or tuners that are well familiar with the software?

There is no one tune fits all if that's what you mean. No off the shelf tune is ever going to be very good anyway despite what the Versatune crowd may think ... you face that problem with any software you get so don't let that be a factor.

I have the versatune with the CEL coded out for the catless mid pipe. I notice no tangible difference in power levels, but that was never a concern for me, as I simply wanted the CEL masked.

I have no problems to report.
