For me it was a good upgrade whilst my 8 was rebuilt, at least they are available to uk owners!

I'm not comparing I'm just saying the ones I got here in uk with my build.

They aren't talking about viability, just the level of integrity displayed by that vendor in blatantly copying someone else's design. It's rather dishonest, and we don't like that around here.

Totally understand. I didn't know they were copied I thought they were rotary revs own.

Obviously when I see them and they were doing my build it was a good item instead of standard!

You have 82 posts and have been here since late 2012. I am sure you are aware of who we vendors are and what each of us provide. The guy from whom you purchased your ignition kit has even mentioned BHR/Black Halo Racing in his discussions on that forum and advertising, so I doubt there was any ignorance on any part.

You mean you cant patent a product made by another manufacturer ...and designed by someone else?

Your opinion would matter if you were to design, manufacture, and retail products of your own.

Aren't these two points redundant? Another manufacturer IS someone else.

So what. It's just coils mounted on a bracket with spark plug wires and adapter
wiring. There is not anything unique or special about that design than any
other. Plenty of other people home-build their own kit their own way. If they
had used a different bracket mounting design it doesn't really change anything.
Its not like you had a team of engineers working for years investing millions of
dollars to come up with something nobody ever saw or considered before. The
correct Patent Office term is called "obviousness". The people who know the
history here are fully aware that BHRs execution of the kit came about from the
ideas and contributions of many other people, including the correct dwell map
conversion to maximize their performance.

Like usual, Mark, you miss the big picture here.

Of all we retailers on this forum, how many of us have cured cancer, created universe-changing products, or altered the course of history with what we do? I have never claimed myself a genius and every company out there has employees who contribute ideas and such to that which they do. Since you actually have ZERO intimate knowledge of what I do on a daily basis for my company, you are grossly under-informed as to reality, which seems to be the norm for you and most others with attitudes similar to yours around here.

How many world issues have you resolved by chasing and murdering cones in a parking lot? The arrogance you have so proudly displayed over the years would have members of this forum believe that you are a rocket scientist, a brain surgeon, and Ghandi, all at the same time. You don't see me ****-talking your racing "career", do ya?

How about you develop whatever whiz-bang idea it is you have into a tangible product and offer it to the market? Let's see if you can manage it.......
