Winter Tires - Break-in a good idea?

I'm pretty new to the rx8 and rx8club scene. Did a couple searches but didn't get any clear hits.

I just bought some Dunlop Graspic DS2s for my 8 anticipating Winter and am trying to decide whether I should put them on for a week or so to get them broken in so that they're good and ready come Winter.

I bought them and some 17" wheels from Tirerack.com and can swap them on and off fairly easily.

Thoughts / Experiences?

Thanks,
Shell

Option noted but that doesn't answer my question. I'm the type of person that if I do not do something months in advance, I end up doing it just in time, as in the morning after a 2' downpour of snow.

With that said, what is the typical break-in period for tires like the Graspic DS2?

Maybe you should have all season tires

A quick break-in on dry pavement is a good idea but you don't want to put winters on hot pavement.

There is absolutely no reason to break in winter tires.
