Why the different sized tires on front from back? There is no reason to get the same sized rims and then get different sized tires. https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-multimedia-photo-gallery-6/polaks-im-going-take-pretty-pictures-my-car-thread-119913/ I have the same rims with 245s (didn't know I was getting the rims or I would have gone 255), but I won't have them mounted until Monday.

Your car's awesome mate.
I was hoping someone else had these wheels cause i went to the tire place and they said they weren't going to fit and tried to get me to buy some of there shitty mags after i just got my rays.
um the different tire size i just got recomended that.
You reckon i should go 255 all around?
Thanks Nathan.

You'll need a slight roll in the rear.

Yes, it'll fit as long as that wheel is also 17".

I hate to ask but will this fit: 20in, width 9.5J, bolt 5 x 114.3, and offset 45 without any modifications? If so, what is a recommended tire size?

this may have already been answered but i am thinking of running this combo for wheels and tires also i have the mazdaspeed lowering springs .5-inch and the stiffer springs from them too:

18x8.5 +40 - 245/35 tires
19x9.5 +35 - 275/35 tires

i am currently running:

18x8.5 +40 - 235/40
18x9.5 +35 - 265/35

no real problems didn't have to get the fenders rolled but when the car is loaded (people, groceries) there is a slight rub in the rear but only when i go over bumps and stuff.

Any help on the new combo is appreciated

You will need to roll the rear, but negative camber should help you clear as well.

MS springs are a .8" drop, and that .3" could really matter. You had 265s in the back and they only rubbed when loaded down and big bumps? Nice. I have 9.5" +38 and I wasn't wanting to roll the fenders just yet.

What is the offset? Since your running OEM width, chances for rubbing are slim to none, unless you are running a uber low offset/

Yeah, you may need a slight roll, but you could just add more - camber.

ok thanks, i might try getting a 225 40 18 as well. i have a pretty decent amount of neg camber now anyway, i was running an 18x8.5 +37 in back with a 265 35 18 and never had a single rub

Can someone tell me if 245/40/18 will fit on the stock rim? Is this the widest you would want to go on stock?

245/40/18 definitely fits. It is very common. According to some other threads, 255s will fit as well.
