just wondering:
stock wheels/tires setup.
25mm spacers
1.5 inch drop from Tein S techs
Stock struts.

Will it fit?
I dont want to fuq my fender while turning & hit a bump. Possible fender roll?

Will a 225/45/18 fit a 9.75 wheel? Id like to keep the rubber I have currently. Im thinking the 8.75 would fit better?

A 225/45 on a 9.75 would be stretched and tall and generally goofy. The 245/40s on mine are slightly stretched and I'm wishing I would have manned up and gone wider.

Thanks for the honesty. Would a 225 then be stretched on a 8.75 wheel also?

Not too much but with a low offset it will be tall and might rub.

Judging from my wheels it looks like that extra 1/4 inch is just purely so you get that lip sticking out stretched look with a regular tire.

Work Emotions Xd9's
Fronts: 18x9+20 - 245/40/r18
Rears: 18x10+18- 265/35/r18

ok guys I want a little more poke in the front and I want to lower the car. my questions are:

What spacer should I run in the front?
What tires should I run to get some stretch?
I was thinking 225-40-r18 fronts and 245-35-r18 rear any thoughts?

Btw Im getting another set of wheels for track days and spirted runs fyi.

trying to decide what will look nicest and function better..
koni yellow shocks (shocks are on their way in the mail, picture is just h-techs) with tein h-tech springs

TWO SETS OF WHEELS

Set 1)
wheels are 18x8+45 (want spacers help me pick spacer size/final offset)
tires are 225/45
I want to put spacers on the wheels to bring them flush, what would be a good final offset option?

Set 2)
wheels are 18x8+30
tires are 245/40
no spacers on these, just want an idea on clearance from fender since i autox

thanks guys let me know

I put my H-Techs back on temporarily until I get another set of coilovers and damn I forgot these things lower the 8 about as low as a Ford Explorer
Hopefully the Koni's get you lower. I'd go with the 18x8 +30 with the 245/40. And some 10mm spacers. That should get you flush, might even get some poke.

No im saying I own two sets, the 18x8+30 is the set i use to autox so no spacers just want a idea of clearance from fender with that wide a tire on those. the +45 wheels are my DD wheels and I would put spacers on them to get flush. total drop is expected to be around -1.5F -1.0R, if not slightly more..putting me at a fair height with superb spring/shock combo for the height

Oh gotcha. Well the size is pretty much stock besides the offset. I'm running the stock 18x8 with 245/40 no spacers, and clearance was fine all around dropped almost 3 inches on coilovers.
The stock wheels with 245/40 and 25mm spacers = flush (refer to the stickied thread in this section).
The stock wheels are +50 offset and your going to be running a +30 on the same size wheels which will be 20mm more outwards than the stock wheels. You shouldn't have any clearance issues, lowered 1.5 inches. (you should have about 5mm of clearance all around)

I ran 17x10+25 front with 245/45's and it rubbed when the car was dropped.

And your saying 18x10+15 with 265's rear.... I have the 18x10+18 rear and it rubs with aggressive driving and dips in the roads. I have the fenders rolled, deleted the rear tab, slight fender pull, and a gap of about a inch between the tire and fender. I have the Stance coil's set to the stiffest setting and Im running 7k swift springs in the rear.

So all in all I just want to stretch the tire so I could lower the car for city cruising to local meets.

So I'm fishing for suggestions.

A very important factor in fitment is missing from this.......

Atilla doesn't have an inch of wheel gap for one thing.
