I have been trying to do that but I can't find a good set of spacers I like. All ready to go with my red flannel shirt, too. Doc has been no help at all and I got pulled over right as I reached 86 mph.

18x9.5 +22 or +20 wrapped with 245/40s dropped on s-techs. Will this fit and how aggressive is it?

It'll fit if you get your fenders rolled. Before I had coilovers I was running 19x10 +20 with 275/35 tires on s-tech. Minimal rubbing that was fixed with a roller. With 245's you may not even rub.
Fairly aggressive. Nothing is aggressive unless you have coilovers though, just fyi haha

Appreciate the info... I'm cool with rolling the fenders. Oh I forgot to mention which wheels I'm getting. WORK CR KAI. Love these wheels

great wheels, you shouldn't have any issues. You can always adjust for more negative camber on the lower control arms in front and in back. (with a full alignment by a professional of course)
If I recall correctly, on s-techs I was able to get -3.3ish degrees of camber out of the rear and -2ish in front. But I was running 255/40/18 F and 275/35/19 rear so it was quite necessary.
Next is coilovers! Makes life a hell of a lot easier.

Nonono.
You'll regret cheaping out on coilovers. I recommend Stance GR+ (that's what I'm on). BC and JIC also make good coilovers. There's a reason these brands cost twice as much as tein and Megan racing.

Hi there I am not a fan of tires and wheels. I've bought a new set of 19'' rims.

Stock height

Fronts are 19x8.5 +35 offset

Rears are 19x9.5 +35 offset

I need help on tires size setup, I don't wish to modify anything to fit the tires and I don't want any rubbing, Any suggestions on what size i should do? Thank you.

Do you want any tire stretch? and are you lowered on anything? Even if you are lowered on springs that offset is very moderate. I would say 245/35/19 in front and 265/35/19 in rear. It'll be a nice meaty fitment.

No my car is stock height. So what you think? ( you think with that setup I won't have any rubbing?)

you could run 255/35 F and 275/35 R and you wouldn't rub with that offset even if you were lowed.
I would go with the first set of sizes I mention though. Just because you're going to be paying up the *** for 275's.

with a +35 offset I don't really think it will poke on 265s. Maybe just barely. Nothing mexican looking

SPOILERS...it'll look 5 times better lowered

Btw - if you don't have to stagger the wheels, don't. It'll save you money in the long run by giving yourself the ability to rotate your tires if you just go 9.5 all around. Plus it'll look nicer...which means more bitches will like...n' yah...unicorns n' dolphins

That was going to be my first suggestion, but I think in his OP his said he already purchased the wheels. People shouldn't put anything smaller than 9.5's on rx8s.
Ever.

Here's a little challenge for you guys. Searched and didn't find much on this specific need. It'll sound a bit ridiculous, but it's all for the sake of function with no concerns for "flushness".

What is the WIDEST one can go with 18" wheels meeting these guidelines:

- No staggering (squared only)
-(No narrower than) 275/35/18
- No fender modifications other than slight shaving of the rear tab (no metal rolling)
- No more than -2.5 camber
- On Progress Tech springs and soon to be Koni Yellows. Won't be much of a drop at all.

Of course there is the usual 18x9.5 +45 and the stuffing of tires wider than 275 on it. But I am looking for something even wider. The width comes first and the offset obviously comes accordingly to the width for the widest stuffing of the wheel wells and clearing of the brakes, which shouldn't be that hard with factory calipers.

I recalled tiltmode's Weds Kranzes in 19x11.5 ET31 (may be a little off) having problems clearing the inside as it was hitting the unibody. So perhaps tiltmode can chime in on some wheel well stuffing insight?

9.5 +35 pokes at stock height FOR SURE

9.5 +22 will poke with just a spring drop
