Will It Fit Thread
We can tell you offsets that will work (+40), but we have no idea what look you are going for. Also we don't know how low you are/camber, if that will matter with the style you want.
So I was pumped, after a long hard search, I found the exact wheels I wanted, color, offset and all. Ordered them and then got an email that they were no longer making them in that offset. WTF! I was going for 17x9 +35 but he informed me he only has +45. I'll be running 275/40's on them and was wondering if they'd fit with a roll? I know with +35 and 275's, all I needed was a slight roll, but now I'll be out farther so do I have to shave and all that crap or will I be okay with a roll?
I'm lowered on Eibach springs and Tokico DSpecs.
Thanks in advance,
Ryan

Wow what an idiot, I was thinking the complete opposite for some reason. After all the research I've done on what fits, I should know this. I feel stupid.
Ok well do you think they'll sit flush? I don't want the look of the stock wheels/tires because they are too far in. I know they have a +50 offset and 45 is damn close... I do not want to put spacers on either, I do not trust them if I'm flying around a corner, and I'm sure it's not very good on the hub...
Thanks Atilla for the quick response.

Def not going to be as flush as the +35.
Can't really tell you off hand how it'll look but if you do a quick search in the 'racing/competition' thread regarding autox setups you should be able to find a thread regarding wheel n' suspension specs. A lot of autox'ers run 17's n' IIRC, a couple of them have posted pic's.

Yeah I've done a ton of searching over the past couple days but haven't really found the answer I was looking for. If I got silver in the offset I want, instead of the higher offset in black, do you think I could get them powder coated to look just like the factory black ones? Would it be worth it price wise?

EDIT: According to my calculations, you're right, it'd actually be .2" farther in than the 18"... hmmm

Can anyone explain in the 17x10 diagram what the top concavity and the bottom concavity have in difference? Is one +25 and the other +12? or +35 vs +25?
Will +12 even fit? If yes, will it be A LOT more work than fitting +25 or about the same work?
Thanks.
Now if only the shop would reply to my delivery ETA question...

well you see the picture, the first "diagram" of the wheels are the 17x10 setup.
you have the top half of the diagram that is at so much concavity for the spokes and then the bottom half of the diagram which is more concave.

why is it like that? is it to compare offsets or something?
i wish someone had 17x10 +12 on their rx-8 to see if it fit lol

17x10 +12 is going to stick out big time. Take a look at the 17x10 +25 on NYCDriftKing or xDEEDUBBX's old car. They stick out as it is and needed stretched tires to even come close to fitting. Not to mention with their setup they had to roll, shave, pull, etc. Getting that same size to fit but now in a smaller offset is going to be a bitch if not look completely stupid, or maybe not even fit at all.

They can definitely can and can look good, it would a combination of other factors though.
Most important thing to realize is that this setup would likely compromise performance, in one way or another.

If 17x10 +25 sticks out of the fenders as it is, how would +12 look in any way good? 4x4's have their tires stick out past the body, not sports cars... flush is where it's at, you know this.

I don't think I'd recommend it though, lol
There's slight poke but 17x10 +12 will sit in about 10mm more than that and could look alright.
Flush for an 8 with unmolested fenders is much more conservative though so you're on the right track!

18x9.5+35
18x9.5+25
18x9.5+12
those are they size available for the rims im looking at
probably with 225/45/18 tires cuz i just got new tires..
will the +35 fit and sit flush without modding the fender and if i use 225 tires are they gonna be streched?
also my 8 is drop 2'' all around on sprint springs

depends on your idea of "flush". +35 will be a little bit sunken especially with 225 tires.
try for the +25 it will need a roll and a bit of work but will be more "flush"
try for the +25 it will need a roll and a bit of work but will be more "flush"
so +25 is the best way to go, i know i should run 245 or 265 but i just bought 225's maybe i'll use 225 on front and 245 or 265 on the rear til i wear the fronts out
