i can say i was turned off from rolling for the following reasons:
1. i didnt know what exactly they did
Feel the lip that is on the inside of the fender? They just squeeze that flat by rolling a wheel across it a few times.
2. i thought it was super expensive
Price depends on where you get it done, but I paid $25 a fender. I've heard of places charging up to $50. Rears are the important ones.
3. afraid they would brake something
Certainly possible to mess something up, but that's why you don't take it to some random dude on the corner. Go somewhere legit.

im thinking of going to a -2 because my rear tire is rubbing when there 4 people in the car or when im driving by myself and i hit a dip in the highway or when i take a quick turn. I mainly drive my rx8 in the weekend put maybe about 300 miles per weekend. Im already looking into the option of getting tokico d-specs and tein s-tech to make the right a little stiffer so it doesnt roll/bounce as much. And i do have my rear fenders rolled. It seems the place where it rubbing the the piece that connect the bumper to the fender.

There seems to be so much info out there that I'm caught up in a whirlwind looking for what I want.
Basically I plan on running 245's all around on 18" rims. I plan on using some deep dish rims so an offset of anywhere around 30-40 likely. Front and rear tires I want flush with one another as well as with the fender as far as they can go out, perhaps even slightly pass the edge of the fenders.
18x8 or 18x8.5 seems to be the ideal selection. Anyone propose wider? I don't want the ridiculous stretched tire look which IMO looks ick. I plan on dropping the car some more from stock but not slamming it which also IMO on a sports car looks, ick. Low is good, but there's a fine line IMO what looks good and what is too much past good taste.
Mainly the wheel width and offset will dictate how far out the tire goes and if the fenders need rolling or not depending on the drop. Does anyone have pictures of this set up with a drop showing the tires flush with one another and the fenders that didn't require a roll? Or do they absolutely need a roll to get the tires flush with the fender?

It is a plastic piece but i cut that off but now under that you get a lip that holds the bumper with the top body frame. It has a screw holding bot pieces together some im hesitant of cutting it off. I was told by a local guy that i could do that or get more of a negative camber.

You shouldn't be rubbing on that. 18x8.5 +30 with 255/40? Aren't your shocks messed up? https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-multimedia-photo-gallery-6/p45fs-dozers-vr-173209/ 8.5 +25 in the rear without rubbing but he has 245s so it is effectively the same setup.

I do think from my perspective, that anything larger than that on a solely street used car for the power we make with an NA engine is overkill. That's just my opinion.
Again like the style everyone else uses, they have their own reasons and preferences, those are mine. Maybe in time I'll change my opinion but for now for what I use the car for with the power available I don't see a need to go bigger.

I completely agree with you J8. But again, for a street based car where I'm at not having a chance to just go WOT all over the place, it's no benefit to me. If I used the car for tracking as well then yes I could go bigger but for my application it's not needed and thus overkill.

So. . . another local guy is selling wheels off his IS350...
Front 19x8 +40
Rear 19x9.5 +40
2 questions:
1. Will they fit? Rolling required in rear? Camber required? I'm slightly lowered on H-Techs, but plan to go lower in the future.
2. Hub Bore size. . . other than having this guy measure, is there a way I can tell if I need centering rings?

Im looking at getting some rota boost 18x10 offset 30. will this fit and what tire size would you recommend. i have tien s techs right now but plan to eventually put on a full coilover set up

They will fit. Only way to know if you need the rear rolled is if you tell us a tire size, but 275/35 or smaller should fit. Some tires are wider than others also. Rears will be much more flush than the fronts.

Almost certainly, the wheels were made to fit many cars so, the hub will be bigger than for an rx8. A lot of people don't use the rings and have no vibration problems (me for one).
